Going to have to say Harvestmoon 64, by far the best N64 game to me. I spent so many hours playing that game. Hell I even bought it a few years ago and an N64 to play it.

You were going soo well. I would go for Space station silicon valley. Also made by DMA

That was a fun game. Shame I've never beaten it.

Most of my choices were already named (Vigilante 8, Battletanx, etc.) I tried to think of one that nobody has said and I'll throw Flying Dragon out there. I loved playing SD mode and collecting the treasures.

The first Turok was pretty sweet. I love the crazy primal feel that game had, and how smooth game play was.

Army Men: Sarges Heroes was always one of my favorites, that and Battle Tanx. That picture up above brought back found memories

No Rare? Fuck that shit.

Um... At the time where all I played was N64 I'd say my favorite was Space Station Silicon Valley.

God I played that again a few years ago. The ending is so stupid.

I have absolutely no fucking idea if it's first party or not but I'm just going to say Jet Force Gemini.

And if that is first party then I don't have one because all the other N64 games I liked had Star Fox in them.
That's Rare which according to this guy can't count :(

:p haha, well, it's not like it's a "Favorite N64 game ever" question. I know better than to expect people to favor a third party game, which the N64 had a lacking quality in, but I figured taking Rare out of the question would make things a bit more interesting. I'm tired of hearing about those games. I already knew they were great, and at this point I'm sure everyone else does too. I'm also kind of on the lookout for Nintendo 64 games that I don't own yet. I own pretty much anything that Rare or Nintendo themselves put out for the system, and a few of my personal favs in the third party.

By far the greatest game on that system. Yes this game even beats Zelda, in my book at least:

I knew I wouldn't be the first one to bring up this beautiful, beautiful, cartridge! This game is made out of pure, liquidized fun and there's nothing quite like using the guided missiles. Why aren't there more Battletanx games!? Or...are there?

Does Mischief Makers count? While it was published by Nintendo in Europe and North America, Enix was the publisher for Japan and the developer was Treasure. That game was awesome imo.

I'm gonna go with this. Wide variety of tanks, fun multiplayer, no real story to bog down the tank blasting fun, destructible building back when all buildings were solid objects. Zipping around as the little shit tank being practically invincible because the bigger tanks couldn't hit you half the time. The escort missions were complete shit though. God damned convoy was made of paper mache.

Nope. Sadly 3DO went out of business before another one could be made.

Well if I can't count GoldenEye, then I'm going to have to go with Doom 64. In fact Doom 64 is pretty much tied with GoldenEye as my favorite N64 game. It wasn't made by id, but Midway did an amazing job with the port. New graphics, textures, all new levels, extremely dark and creepy environments, great ambient soundtrack. I was a damn happy guy when I went to Software Etc... (now Gamestop) and found a used copy in the bargain bin for two or three dollars. Hadn't played it in years, but I fell in love all over again. I still drag out my N64 to play it.

Edit: And after seeing Body Harvest mentioned above, I'm going to have to add it as well. Sure the graphics definitely top notch even when it came out, but I'm going to have to assume that's because of the huge amount of vehicles available, and as I recall the levels were absolutely huge, especially for the N64. So I imagine they had to cut down on texture quality and polygons to accommodate. Still, it had five distinct levels, Greece 1916, Java 1941, US 1966, and Siberia 1991, all with their own period accurate weapons and vehicles. So yeah, for when it came out the variety was amazing, so I'll give it serious kudos.

Every game in like a row of 10 I'd call my favorite and each time it'd either be Nintendo or Rare and it started making me upset I couldn't choose one of them :(

Btw, Blast Corps was Rare, guys. Jet Force Gemini was also made by Rare's Blast Corps team.

Sadly 3D0 has been dead for years. Though I am at School to do concept art/animation right now. I plan to make plenty of spiritual successors in my career to this game.

Easy: Conker's Bad Fur Day.

It's also close to the only 3rd party game I played for N64 besides Goldeneye and Perfect Dark, though.

There are only 2 right answers to this question . If you did not answer .

A) Goldeneye 007
Or
B) Perfect Dark ( with the expansion pack of course )

Your answer is wrong . That is all.

Edit: Ugh , i didn't read the OP properly . Why in the hell would you not count Rare ? Dammit! Fine my answer is the Original Turok and Bomberman 64 (?).

I'll hold you to that! And I swear to god, if you make me escort a convoy of tissue paper I will hunt you down and force you to play your monstrosity nonstop for the rest of your life!

I wonder who owns the IP, and what their email address is...

Goldeneye is a given but other than that I would probably have to go with Banjo and Kazooie; what a great platformer.

I'm not really a fan of the 64 or many of it's games, especially not the controller.
Since I can't say Conkers Bad Fur Day as that was the only game I can say I loved on the 64 ...uhh....I guess Shadows of the Empire was good for the time? Kinda crap by todays standards though...Okay I don't think I can think of one.
