I saw this thread and thought "Poke'mon, I know a bunch about that!", but I came in here and suddenly realized I have no idea what most of these things are. I thought I was cool sh*t 'cause had played all the way up to the Ruby version. Silly me.

OT: Probably Garadose, but he is usually only unpopular because you have to evolve him from that piece of crap Magicarp.

Don't worry, those of us who actually played Red and Blue still respect you. 400 is way too many Pokemon.

Some of the new ones are cool but most of them are spunk-flavored popsickles, the second generation is my favorite one.

Ground/Water type? Almost perfect combination! Then all you have to do it teach it ice punch and you'll have an answer to any type.

its not popular because its uncatchable at the moment. you can get it at a special event when the movie about Arceus comes out.

My personal favorite is Porygon-Z. It has a SpAtk that rivals Alakazam and has less weaknesses! Also Empoleon. It is a metal penguin and it's the second water starter I've liked (the first being the obvious turtle).

Aside from those two, there's always Farfetch'd for flying, Absol cause it looks cool, and Flareon. Sure Flareon isn't really much of a fire-type, but it's so damn adorable and fluffy. I would love to have a real one as a pet. If I was ever cold I could hug it and be warm.
