I just love how evil and sadistic this guy is, and you know you are fucked when the villain uses your own song against you.

If I had to choose something recent I would have to go with either one of these two: <youtube=_1LFs9OjNhg>
I still can't believe how well Donna Murphy did in this song. Seriously, she isn't even a professional singer, but she did this song all on her own. <youtube=7-n-JZ8MFoI>
Sadly, this movie is so new that there isn't any movie footage with this song, but the song itself is awesome enough. I just love how they combined modern club music with samba, and it fits perfectly with the rest of the movie. The part where Anne Hathaway starts singing is just mesmerizing.

Without a second thought, I immediately choose this one:

Hard Sun by Eddie Vedder for Into The Wild.

I know it's an Indio cover, but it was rerecorded for the movie and it fits SO well.
No other song in any movie can get me in the mood like this one. Beautiful!

Donna Murphy is actually a Broadway actress with 2 Tony awards under her belt, so it's not that surprising how compitent she is as a musical performer. I was more surprised by the fact that Zachary Levi (Flynn Ryder) did his own songs.

Good choice, by the way. The first time I watched Tangled and heard this song, I knew this was going to be a good movie. I also love how she isn't simply singing, she's acting through song. Mother Gothel has quickly become one of my favourite Disney villians.

Mine is I'm Comin' Home by Murder by Death from the Inglorious Basterds soundtrack.
If you listen really closely you can hear someone saying "This song is awesome!" in the background.

Yep, though I figured out it was a good one long before that (the song is already one hour into the movie). I didn't know that Murphy had performed on Broadway though, so thanks for pointing that out.

I didn't know either untill I watched the extras and saw Doc Ock's wife in the recording booth.

Fun fact: The guy who did the character designs for Tangled also worked on Aladdin.
