You know, the series that had left you with your jaw dropped.
And don't just say Firefly cuz that is surely one of the most liked series in the past decade or so.
I personaly just love the Dexter series.

This is one of the best shows still running and has one of the best characters development at all.
I just adore Firefly. The acting, the dialogue, the story, the characters... I don't doubt that I probably love it more than I should, because it died too early. But I love it nonetheless.
As for my current favourite TV shows: Battlestar Galactica, How I Met Your Mother and... Probably Dexter. I'd like to say House, just because of how brilliant Hugh Laurie is, but it is quite the formulaic show.
But I think BSG and HIMYM definitely deserve some real notice. BSG is such a profound, riveting, deep sci-fi with powerful acting and concepts throughout the entire 4 seasons... It is one of the best complete works I have seen on TV (I haven't see the end yet, obviously, but I'm confident it will remain as high quality as the rest of the series). As far as I'm concerned, BSG makes almost all sci-fi's before it look silly, and makes virtually all dramas currently on TV a waste of time.
If you're caught up on BSG, and you watch a little Sarah Connor Chronicles or Heroes, it really makes those shows intolerable.
And How I Met Your Mother is simply the best sitcom I've seen. It's fresh, it's hilarious, it's often epic (you've got to watch it chronologically), Neil Patrick Harris takes the show to new heights, it manages not to be annoying even with the soundtrack (because the jokes are quite often often)... and it just... deserves more acclaim in my opinion. I'm glad it finally got syndicated, at least now I can appreciate it without worrying even if it doesn't have the biggest following.
