'When the Kite String Pops' by Acid Bath is pretty good and completely unheard of.

Other pretty obscure (and awesome) albums I own are both albums by Animals as Leaders, along with 'The Link' and 'Terra Incognita' by Gojira and 'Showbiz' by Muse, which everyone has forgotten.
I think Chaosphere by Meshuggah is quite obscure, as is every album by the likes of Chimpspanner, Monuments and Bulb.

Oh wait I know.

Something I have never posted (or anyone expects from me if you ever saw me post stuff in music threads) and nobody I ever met or saw ever knew about either. An album called Lot76 from a polish guy/band/producer whatever called Namaste [http://www.myspace.com/namastesoundsystem].

I have in my entire life never heard an album that was so excruciatingly calming and relaxed. It deserves to be heard.

EDIT: Sorry, appearantly it's not an undiscovered album I posted. It's just highly underrated. Sorry.
I'd like to know which album you were talking about. While it may not be undiscovered it still might be something a lot of people dont listen to. Personally I've listened to all of their stuff, and I feel like I've discovered a lot about them.

Which album did you originally post?
Pink Floyd's "The Final Cut". Then I was told by another guy that nothing by Pink Floyd is Undiscovered/not listened to enough, so I just got rid of the post.
I love that album. I also found it in my collection and had never listened to it. I like their albums which involve cooperation and input from the entire band (The Final Cut is pretty much a Roger Waters solo album), but it is still a great album. It's a radical shift in the way the band addressed their thoughts and feelings, but I really do like that album.

It's synesthesia on an album! It's great! And no one has heard of it. All my tears, man.

Duplicity by Silent Decent
It's their only album but they have a second (Mind Games, I think) coming out soon. It like Melodic Death Metal and Trance music combined. Some of it's quite good such as Beyond Grey, Duplicity, In The Skies being my favs

Sparklehorse's "Good Morning Spider". I'm listening to it right now.

You know R.E.M's "Automatic for the People"? Think that, only more lo-fi and better.

Also, Dr. Steel's "Eclectic Boogaloo" is consistently the most fun I've ever had listening to an album.
Sparklehorse! you are now my best friend.

Rachael Yamagata has a wonderful smokey voice and I adore girls who play piano.

<youtube=QvgZpSdE74I>

This song has a very New Orleans piano sound to it.

My next recommendation is Voxtrot. They are like a quicker tempo Smiths, Morrissey or a bit like the Clash. The lyrics and rhythm are catchy. So fans of rock should check them out.

The Most Serene Republic is a band from Canada. They have a lot of melodies intertwining that builds to a grand crescendo. Wish more people know of them.

"Man Upstairs"

Also wanted to add Camera Obscura. They have a retro 60's girl band sentiments mixed with a modern indie sound.

Super super super catchy and makes you feel nostalgic for an era you weren't born in despite their music being current.

I also recommend Regina Spektor, Arcade Fire and the Decemberists but they are aren't unknown.

I love Belle and Sebastian. Camera Obscura is like the girl version. Also similar is 'Math and Physics Club'. Both said they were inspired by Belle and Sebastian so might be worth checking out.
