Batman: Arkham Asylum REALLY messes with you.
In the beginning of the game, you see the Joker strapped to like this thing they're taking him into Arkham Asylum on, with Batman and all the good guys following.
Here's the thing:
Later on in the game, at one point your screen goes all glitchy-weird, like it would go if you were to suddenly take out a game disc/cartridge back in the day. So you're like "Fuck, are you serious!?", then it RELOADS the whole game to the INTRO CUTSCENE.
At this point, you REALLY start swearing, because you didn't even like save or anything.
Instead of saying "Press O button" or "Press B button" to skip cutscene, it says "Press J button".
Then, the part where the Joker is being taken in is shown, except the Joker is free, you're controlling him, walking slowly, and BATMAN is the one in the little restraining device.
It goes to Batman's first person view, and then the Joker shoots you in the face with a Pistol.
You know how in Game Over screens, there are little Help Messages, or hints? Example: "Use this move to dodge this enemy easily." "This is more effective against this" A lot of games these days have that.
What the help hint says is, I'm not making this up: "Use the Middle Stick to Dodge Joker's gunfire."
You're like WTF!? and you wake up in a graveyard.
It's... you need to play Arkham Asylum if you haven't already.
