The Davy Crokett Nuclear Rifle in real life and the Fat Man from Fallout. Both do the same thing Fire Nukes at an enemy from the feild, AWESOME.

I'd have to say a medieval German warhammer (pick on one end, hammer on the other) for hand to hand weapons. Or a tomahawk.
Guns? In real life I dig AK-47s, they're fucking indestructible (as long as they aren't knock offs). From games? The Cerebral Bore from Turok. "AHHHH HAHAHAHAHA! Long distance brain surgeon *****! Eat it!"
I might say that the MP-40 has served me well in every world war two game.
except for battle axe, he was being pretty specific, there are very few, if any legendary weapons in those categories, or even styles of weapon.
my favorite weapon is my combo sniper/grenade launcher/chainsaw/mass driver/spiked thing/laser targeting system/M-60
there are 1000 ways i can kill you, and each of them hurts worse then the last
Brionac is a self wielding spear from Irish mythology owned by the god Lugh. It apparently would fight on its own only stopping if its head was steeped in a opium. It would light on fire while stabbing people too. I guess you could have it in conjunction with any other weapon so long as you have opium handy for when you want to stop killing things. Gungnir was cool because it was a throwing spear that could never miss and always killed on impact. If it is thrown at you, you are dead. Source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gungnir
Mythical spears are the most badass weapons ever.
OT: The Sniper Rifle from Deus Ex. You could mod that thing until it was silenced, had no recoil, laser sighted, and could pick people off from 2 miles away.
Seeing how I am a student of linguistics, I can assure you that this is NOT correct, at least not entirely.
An acronym is, of course, a type of abbreviation. However, an acronym is an abbreviation which can be pronounced applying conventional reading rules; 'NASA' would be an example of an acronym, since you can pronounce it like any other regular word.
Abbreviations such as 'MGS' or 'DMC' on the other hand are consonant clusters where every letter requires separate pronunciation; this kind of abbreviation is called 'initialism'.
To cite properly:
"[Abbreviations] can be pronounced either by naming each individual letter (so-called initialisms, as in USA [...] or by applying regular reading rules (e.g. NATO [...]). In the latter case the abbreviation is called an acronym."

The Handcannon (RE 4) The Shuriken Lightning Gun (Forgot which game) Groovitron (Ratchet & Clank Future: ToD) Or the gnome gun from Earthworm Jim 64, you know, the gun that shot those little guys who'd explode into a shower of bones on impact with something.
