Got another one! I was playing Total Annihilation. In this game you can only fire your bizarre, space age weaponry if you have available energy. So, if you're, say, attacking an enemy base while constructing several large overkilling death robots to mop up survivors, this is what will happen:

1. you will run out of energy
2. You will automatically cease construction of overkilling death robots.
3. EVERY SINGLE ONE of your soldiers guns, currently engaged in combat with enemy, will stop firing.
4. your shit will get ruined.
I love that game. However there is nothing worse than when you are playing multiplayer and a krogoth start slowly walking towards your base.
Ahh.. yes. Krogoths. Those are awesome. I love how in the second last level of the campaign (Which is supposed to be, you know, HARD) they just give you one. Its so easy

I remember the very first time I tried the mission "The Wailing Doom" in Dawn of War II. The mission itself went reasonably well. Then I come up against the Avatar of Khaine.
Captain Davian Thule stomps up to the beast, his voxcaster booming, "I've come to destroy you!". Before he even lands a single punch, the Avatar riddles the ground with fiery explosions, and venerable brother Thule is reduced to a helpless, burnt-out toaster in one hit. That was the moment I went, "Oh, shi--" and I realized I had bet on the wrong horse. ^^°

When I'm playing Sins of a Solar Empire I like to find a really good choke point world, fortify the hell out of it, and then have my fleet go in the other direction. Starbase with max number of drones and armor, all possible tactical slots taken up by more drone hangars, and maybe a repair bay or two. As Advent, that's a LOT of drones. I call it the iron beehive. When it breaks the Unity cries out in pain :(

SC2

I had been macroing, getting my Immortals and stalkers up. Then the terran scouts uses the (OP) switch production and cranks out a MMM. Before he was going siege.

I die

About four hours ago, 3v3 match in the DoW2 Retribution Beta, we were losing 27 points to about 300, when we grab two of the points back. Closest victory ever, considering the amount of Avatars, Baneblades and Great Unclean Ones roaming around the forest looking for fights.

Everytime I play a Starcraft computer match. I eventually get a decent amount of guys, get ready to own only to be flanked and murdered while my troops are halfway to their base. So cruel.

original starcraft... first, in the mission where your apparently supposed to be overrun by zerg at the end, and like fifty-bazillion zerglings came from behind my base and obliterated it. second, some mission against the protoss in brood wars, where i tried to flank the base and discovered they had a giant clusterfuck of carriers and scouts waiting to kill my whole fleet in a matter of seconds.

Going British artillery in Company of Heroes. My friends and I always play those custom maps where we can easily bottleneck the enemy, and then sim city it from there. All those little infantry crawling under our MG fire turn to pieces under those 25-pounders.

I given a few moments in C&C Generals zero hour.

Grab two troop heli's, 2 snipers each, 3 missile and the mini gunner in one 2 snipers and 4 missile troops in the other and just slowy walks your way over the map blasting anything the other guys has. And the only way to take them down is bullet using AA fire as the laser missile defense tends to own all.

Playing the original starcraft. My Friend was the Zerg, and I was the Terran. I set up an Impenetrable defense, and we both ran out of resources, (Twas a really long game), and we thought it was a stalemate. He had no troops left. But then I was like, "Oh shit!" And proceeded to empty my bunkers and clean house. The terran were victorious that day!

Well my favourite would be when my cousin and I were in a 3v3 game on Cossacks:BTW. We were both getting beaten into the dust whilst trying to gather our armies so we asked our ally, named "The_White_Wizard" for help...

Four thousand horsemen showed up and in seconds the enemies' force was turned into an interesting floor pattern.

In reverse, the worst moment has to have been in Dawn of War MP. 3v3 on Kasyr Lutien.
We were stuck in a stalemate in the middle, with myself on the right end and two allies further along holding the bridge and middle swamp area of the map.

My side of the skirmish suddenly died down as all of their squads pulled back. I chased them down and came face to face with an Avatar of Khaine w/ fire prisms escorting, a squiggoth and several kans and a Land Raider flanked by two predators. Bricks were shat.

rome total war, shipping one massive army from greece to eygpt, as a cunning blitzkrieg notion invasion, only to land, move in land and then during the eygptian move get engaged.

greeks: 2,000 men
eypgptians: 9,000 men, in five armies.

oh. shit.

i still won though! square formation, worked for the british during the 1800s, works for the greeks phalanxes in rtw :-D lost about 2/3 of the army though.

"Nuclear launch detected."

Makes you go into full HOLYSHITWHERE'STHEREDDOT mode.
That reminds me of how one of my multiplayer games ended with NUCLEAR LAUNCH DETECTED NUCLEAR LAUNCH DETECTED NUCLEAR LAUNCH DETECTED NUCLEAR LAUNCH DETECTED and so on about 10 times. Needless to say, I lost.
Try playing DEFCON when your opponent simultaneously launches nukes from all 6 of their silos and the nuclear subs they have parked around your coastline. Radioactive symbols with "LAUNCH DETECTED" spring up all over the place and you just know you're about to have your entire continent blown to kingdom come.

Mine came from the Ork Warboss mission. That fucking monster was harder than Khaine! He dropped all my squads save Cyrus. Thank god I'd got the stealth revive upgrade or we woulud have been pulverized.

The Avatar I thought was kind of easy compared to that green bastard.

When your playing the Allies and a King Tiger comes in on Company of Heroes.

That is all.
I remember I was playing CoH, and I forgot what level it was but the germans brought in these heavy duty tanks and I was pushed back and made a last standing point and won...

eventually...

Great Brittan, France, Castile, and Bohemia all declare war on me in the space of a few game days in European Universalis 3.

Good luck.
