Wouldn't that be more of a "Why am I not beating this shit faster?" rather than "WOW! Did I just do that?"OmegaXIII said:Whenever i beat any stage in Street Fighter 4. Seriously, no game has ever kicked my ass this hard before
I got that game for 5 bucks a couple weeks back. It's bland, but the slomo glaive throw is mad fun.Grabtharr said:Dark Sector, using the glaive to slice off a guy's hand right as he's tossing a grenade at me from behind cover, causing the grenade (with a hand still curled around it) to fall back into his lap and kill him.
Nah, it tends to be more of a 'I wonder how much harder i can grip this controller before it snaps' or 'I hope i don't embed my controller in the TV' moment most of the time. I suppose they could count as subheadings though...Scorch_Phoenix said:Wouldn't that be more of a "Why am I not beating this shit faster?" rather than "WOW! Tell me about it. I stopped playing that game a while ago because I got so apocalyptically furious at Zangief. He got a perfect against me once by pile-driving me for the entire match and there was nothing I could do.OmegaXIII said:Whenever i beat any stage in Street Fighter 4. Unironically this is how I felt when playing the Bayonetta demo, everything in that game feels like if it was a fluke, I just mashed some buttons and all of a sudden I pull off a spectacular move, but it felt as if I didn't really pull that off.Scorch_Phoenix said:I'm talking about things in games that are so cool, you know you couldn't repeat that in a million years. Like sweeping a room of 8 guys in Max Payne with your dual 9mm pistols, all in mid air.
Mine is probably from Sniper Elite. I start out in the opposite end of some demolished street to a unit of six Russian soldiers and a tank. Now the strange thing about the crappy Russian tanks is that the fuel tank is on the outside of the tank and you can shoot the lid on it to make it explode (stupid in a war game, I know)
They are all standing around picking their noses and I fire a well aimed shot right between the eyes of one of them. I quickly adjust my aim and hit the lid of the tank's fuel tank which explodes, taking one of the Russians along with him. Now the four remaining Russian soldiers are running for their lives. I shoot one more in the back as he attempts to run away and one more in the head right before he makes it to cover, so now two of them are behind the flaming pile of garbage that used to be their tank and I'm thinking "damn, I didn't get them all". As I scout the area a little better I can see that the fleeing Russian I shot in the back is still alive and shouting for help as he lays wounded. I see the two Russians run to save him so I smile slyly as I shoot one of them in the head while the other one starts to drag his fallen comrade to cover. I shoot that one in the head as well so now the lone Russian soldier is laying wounded there as the final bullet puts an end to his misery.
I tried so many times to repeat that, never could.
I would also like to add that this game was unspeakably epic. Those tiny-colossi though, those were lame.Gontear said:My first kill in Shadow of the Colossus.
Not hard, but nevertheless epic.
I agree with you completely, but that moment is one I still bring up to my friends as an example of pants-wetting glee.Hiphophippo said:I got that game for 5 bucks a couple weeks back.
