Google announced through YouTube [http://www.youtube.com/youtube?feature=etp-pv-jke] that YouTube would be shutting down at midnight today, saying that YouTube was launched 8 years ago as a video contest and that they will be spending the next 10 years judging the videos and a winner will be announced in 2023.

The sheer number of YouTube stars they contacted to do this impressed me. And not only that, they are currently doing a live broadcast [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HGeMGqVKD6A&feature=etp-pd-jke] where they have two people reading the names of the "nominees," which means every video on YouTube. They read the name of the video, the description, and sometimes also a comment that "reviews" the video. The sheer lengths they've gone to is impressive. It's not a very convincing trick, but I can just admire the work they went through to put this together.

Another forum I go to has staged an all out rebellion between the Admins/Mods and the rest of the staff (Researchers, Developers, etc.). It's pretty funny to see everyone's confused reactions.

I just got fooled by Discovery channel with the 'documentary' Mermaids: The Body Found, it was like Troll Hunter and X-Files rolled into one. The awful mermaid found footage gave it away, I open my mind to new possibilities and get fucked.

How about Blizzard's? They added a new unit to the game.

That?s when it came to us: Protoss should have it as well, since one of our main goals in StarCraft II was to create as much symmetry as possible amongst all three races.
So after considering every angle, here?s what?s changing:

* The Warhound has been added for Terran because robots are cool and the art is amazing
* The Warhound has been added for Zerg to remain competitive with Terran.
* The Warhound has been added for Protoss to keep Protoss players from whining about them on the forums.

While we know these changes are drastic, we encourage everyone to log in and spend some time playing before rushing to judgment. We welcome you to share your thoughts, but this time around we?re not going to be listening to feedback.

A Youtuber I've been watching uploaded the first part of his new Final Fantasy IX speedrun, with the description promising a new segment every week. It's funny, because his Final Fantasy VII speedrun has been going on for 5 years now.

I was fooled until he didn't end the segment at the steeple in Alexandria, and instead went on until he was able to name Vivi. It's common practice for speedrunners to give the party names that are a single character long, as it can end up shaving a minute or two from the final time. This guy decided to call Vivi April.

...I swear, it's funnier if you've been following his stuff.
