All-time favorite--Urusei Yatsura; the Return of Lum (My daughter is named for a character in it).
Favorite currently being produced: MLP:FIM (Current season has raised Fluttershy from flat-out amazing
to Jaw-dropping-my-brain-can't-handle-it astonishing.)

Lesse... It's a toss up between...

But for sheer originality, and everything else, I'm gonna have to go with Gravity Falls.

I haven't seen a show this well written, well voiced, well animated, and generally well put together since MLP. But GF is just continuing to blow my mind with it's loose but consistent continuity, and it's wonderfully offbeat humor every step of the way.
Also they referenced Spirited Away.
Fun Fact: what is the easiest way to win my love? Reference Spirited Away.
Gravity falls wins it.

Right now, absolutely without a doubt (and without getting into anime), it's The Looney Tunes Show. Yeah, the new one. The jokes are great every episode, and it's actually clever and smart. Now I like the original Merry Melodies and all, but slapstick can only go so far. Also it's the best use of Looney Tunes characters since that Duck Dodgers show that ended way too soon.

If I do include anime though then currently I'm absolutely in love with Bakemonogatari and it's two sequels Nisemonogatari and Nekomonogatari. I love the wordplay, Shaft's crazy visual metaphors, everything. It's like even though I'm watching a show, I'm reading a book.

Tron Uprising.

Shall I list the ways?

It's set in the Tron universe.
The voice talent is top notch.
Shockingly for a Disney show they avert the 'Never say die' annoyance. Lots of people die and it is said that they do.
The pacing is AMAZING. Seriously. They pack so much into each episode that you think it's done but there's another 5-10 minutes left.
Light cycles.
Wushu-esque action fights.
The pacing.

Probably cos I just finished watching the second season, my most recent favourite is Wakfu, a french cartoon that in terms of tone and humour reminds me a lot of Avatar. Plus the visuals/colour palate/designs are great, and the fight scenes are awesome.

It's a toss-up between Avatar and MLP.
Both are pretty good at characters and plots, as well as some fun worldbuilding. And superb animation and voice acting, of course.
They just put in so much effort it's crazy, and that really pays off.
Same here. I love both of them, can't decide which one I prefer.

I tried watching Adventure Time once, but the humor was so random that it stopped being funny. Granted, I only watched the first episode. Judging from how much people praise it and how in depth it's supposed to be, I might give it another shot.
Are you me? Because that was my exact first reaction to AT as well.
Then a friend of mine bitched me out for not giving it a fair chance.
I relented and watched four more episodes. Still not impressed in any way.

Sailor Moon (yes, I do have all the seasons on DVD, sshh),
Whoah--do you mean you actually have the SailorStars season on DVD?
Because that is AWESOME!
It was never released in the US and the Japanese disks are crazy expensive (I do know one collector who has them,
he paid something like $350.00 for them) I was only ever able to get the Malaysian release (and that after years
of searching.)
Yep. I'd never seen that season before, and I remember wondering when I was little why there were so many pictures of Sailor Moon with wings when it had never been in the anime. I found the complete collection online, and while it was expensive, it was worth it.

Gonna have to go with Gravity Falls. The massive amounts of foreshadowing and symbolism, coupled with all the secrets hidden by the developers make it really fun and interesting to watch. Plus, I love the relationship that Dipper and Mabel have. It's like a breath of fresh air to see siblings on television who aren't constantly fighting and berating each other.

Also, it has this guy:

Who is basically the coolest mofo in the entire world.

The main bad thing I can bring up is the scheduling. We've gone almost five months with no new episodes, had one new release date announced, and then another hiatus for at least two more weeks? You're killing me, Disney! D:

Teen Titans all the way. Combine five of the most endearing, well-developed characters on TV with hilarious villain-of-the-weeks, intimidating-as-all-hell main villains, and a storyline that could occasionally be VERY dark, and you have a strategy for success.

EDIT: Also going to have to say that I love the Venture Bros. jsut as much, but for different reasons. I.E. Laughing my ass off.

Here I was thinking I'd be original... I loved that show...

OT- The old Looney Toons and Tom and Jerry, along with the above. For anime, I'd have to say the first season of Darker than Black. It's the first anime that made me realize that I crave the mature anime, and I thank it for making me realize that.

Probably Avatar: The Last Airbender. Its a good show that is kid friendly, but also doesn't treat it's audience like morons. It had actual character arcs, relationships, interesting conflict, ect. It was a total package really.

Wow, I haven't seen that show around in years. If I saw it now, I'd probably have a huge nostalgia trip (I'm pretty young).

X-Men: The Animated Series

Watched that as a kid, and have been an X-fan ever since. There are other cartoons that I love (Futurama, both Avatars, MLP) but X-Men will always have a special place in my heart.

If we must talk about TV shows, then I'm going with The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack.

If I can talk about any animation, then I'm pushing towards this:

EDIT:

For anime:
Cowboy Bebop for giving me my favorite anime character of all time:

I'd have to say that my current favorite cartoon is One Piece. It's just so much fun to watch. Well, to be more accurate, it's very fun to read. The anime itself can get very filler heavy. I just love that it has been going for so long, and has not lost its way, and if words from the author are any indication of the direction it's headed, it will not ever lose its way and will continue strongly into what will apparently be an ending so amazing that it will make the Marineford War Arc look like nothing(Oda says that he already has the ending planned out, so there will be no aimless wandering whilst trying to figure out how to end things).

So nice to see an anime that hasn't drifted off into obscurity or just outright imploded on itself after climaxing somewhere in the middle of the series and not having any idea on how to end things.

Samurai Jack was one of my favorite shows from my childhood literally everything about it is awesome, Favorite anime would probably be between the Gundam series and Runoni Kenshin.
