Your favourite concept.

i was just wondering what you guys like as a concept. be it something from a film, something from a book, anything at all.

for example my favourite concept would have to be the angel of death aka the grim reaper. yes it might sound rather weird to think that such a thing could be cool, but i really do think its cool. i like the christian story of the angel of death, and for the record im not christian, i just got bored one day and wiki'd Angel of death

So to end this off.... what is YOUR favourite concept

No, please dear non existent god don't. Have you ever really listened to the story of Ninja Gaiden? It is terrible.

Prototype's concept is really interesting to me. An open-world game in which you control a shape-shifter that can absorb people's biomass to gain their memories, appearance, and abilities trapped in the middle of a war between infected humans and the military. That game can not come out soon enough.

Depends what you're into. There are actually plenty of films like that. Wonder how long it actually takes anyone to actually detect the sarcasm and light heartedness in my suggestion. I'd rather not have Ninja Gaiden ruined. Save it 'til they make decent game movies...and change the story...I mean actually give it one*

I'd like a movie that takes more liberties with reality. Just really mess with things. The story is your basic samey samey terror plot that can only be stopped by a suspended cop, a computer hacker and a generic blonde strumpet, but everything else is screwy. Maybe buildings are made of cheese or cars are really hollowed-out elephant cyborgs or something. I dunno, these are two ideas off the top of my head. Just something fantastic, except in a modern setting. And don't explain any of it. No backstory about how this is a parallel world or anything like that, no characters explaining why their oversized death cannon-looking side-arms shoot exploding wasps and nothing that even hints at how they make the whaleships float through the air.
