Oh and The Girl in the Photograph [http://creepypasta.wikia.com/wiki/The_Girl_in_the_Photograph]. It's awesome and good for a quick shudder.

I read that shit in an empty room, in the dead of night, by myself. Then I had to use the bathroom once I was done and was more than a little anxious to walk through a bunch of dark, cold rooms to get there.

Yep, I was living in my grandmother's garage when I first read it. It was like 2am on /x/ and it was cold as fuck in that garage at all times and the air in that place never sat still. Right after I read it I felt a cold breeze on the back of my neck and dropped the mightiest brick you'd ever seen.

I love how Creepy Pasta makes for better scares than most horror movies do. Something about using your own imagination, which knows what you fear best, that puts it a tier ahead.

Aw, man. You beat me to it. That's the only creepypasta I've read the whole way through, because I generally get bored after a while. I loved Candle Cove, because I read it as a bunch of internet trolls just derailing a persons genuine nostalgia thread into a contest of bullshit one-upsmanship. I laughed my balls off.

See, I really like the idea of Tulpas as a fan of Doktor Sleepless. However, I find them to be a fucking rad idea. Even though I am interested in a piece of short fiction called Tulpa, I just can't finish it, because (like most horror stories) it's so damn slow and boring for the most part. We all know scary shit's gonna go down. Get to the fucking scary shit, already. I don't care about the lead-up and then I get bored/annoyed and just stop reading. It's the same problem I have with horror movies and games.

Movies tend to be a little over-indulgent with gore and cheap jump-scares. The scariest films I've ever seen are ones that don't actually show the villain, or at least wait until the final climax. Just as the scariest thing about zombies is NOT the zombies but what 'we' do as a result of that situation.
Because ultimately what we all fear most is either the unknown, or ourselves.

I'm always half interested half annoyed with most Creepypastas because 90% of them are poorly written, boring, over the top, silly or just not to my liking. This one took all of that and made itself a parody of all the poor Creepypastas and I love it for doing that.
