I rarely buy DLC at all (usually when it's on sale), so I don't have much to judge on.

But Lair of the Shadow Broker was fun/cool, and I'm really enjoying Undead Nightmare so far.

Broken Steel for Fallout 3. It allowed you to play so much more of the game, more easily. It raised your level cap, and it added more missions and rewards. Best DLC I have ever downloaded.

Half-Life 2: Lost Coast was an enjoyable DLC (I'm excluding the Episodes as I think they are more expansion packs than DLC) or any free DLC because its free content.

I can't really think of anything else since I don't really buy DLC unless I really feel it's worth it.

The borderlands DLC was actually pretty good, I got all of the DLC in a pack in a steam sale so it was nice at cheap... added together they made for enough gameplay to constitute a full expansion, so i'm happy with that.

Generally speaking i'm not a big fan of DLC because its basically not good value for money. they hook you in with the main game then tempt you to buy the DLC which on a $ per hour gameplay basis is usually about 20 times more expensive.... its sharp practice basically.

OT: For me best value was extra maps for Halo 3 - played those more than any other DLC and enjoyed massively, most much better than the originals

Anything that adds real content and not some unlock key to data already on the disc that you have to buy to access. -_-

Undead nightmare for Red Dead Redemption. It was better than a lot of full priced retail games.
This, hands down. For me it WAS a full retail game, bought it on disc... truly awesome and complete package in every way.

Either Broken steel for letting me carry on playing Fallout 3 or Undead Nightmare for letting me shoot zombies with a blunderbuss. XD

Tough choice,
My favorites are (in no particular order):

Oblivion - The Shivering Isles
Fallout 3 - Mothership Zeta
Fallout 3 - Point Lookout
Fallout NV - Old World Blues
Dragon Age - Awakening
Yeah pretty much this exact list but also adding Lair of the Shadow Broker. I can't just choose one DLC.

It's not technically DLC because it came in another disc, but hey. Let's not be prejudice.

Age of Empires 2: The Conqueror's Expansion. Awesome.

EDIT: Reading these posts had made me think. Wouldn't it be easier for the developer, instead of making a whole series of games for one generation, make one easily-DLCable and add on to that? Like Fallout 3. Instead of making another Fallout for this generation, just give the current one more, and good, expansions. Add on to story, gameplay, scenery, whatever. Helluva lot cheaper than making a whole game.

Dead Money and Shivering Isles.

So much goodness.

I think the reason I liked Dead Money was I like stealth gameplay.

Loving Old world Blues aswell, very funny and very cool.
You used stealth in that dlc ? How I was alwas having to fight the damn ghost people. Allthough all those throwing spears were worth it for my legion character.
The ghost people have like 1 perception you can stealth right up to their face and they won't see you. If I had to kill one I usually went right up to it and shot it in the face. I was playing on very hard and hardcore with a guns and stealth character.

Shivering Isles for Oblivion is pretty much amazing.

Recently, I'd have to go with Undead Nightmare for Red Dead Redemption and Old World Blues for Fallout: New Vegas.

Hmm, Looking forward to the 1st Black ops Zombie DLC (Main reason i got black ops, in vain hope that the Call of duty 5 zombies story would carry on).

Of course, im never going to get it Because im not paying £10.99 for 1 F**in map.
