Your favourite DLC

With all the furore over day one DLC, DRM and locked preplayed content I thought it'd be nice to talk about DLC that you have enjoyed

For me it's a toss up between ME:2 Lair of the Shadow Broker and Pigsy's Perfect 10 for Enslaved.
LotSB wrapped up those niggling loose ends about it's titular character, we got Liara back for a mission and the whole thing was substantial enough IMO to warrant it's price tag and had enough action to keep my interest despite the dodgy driving section. While Perfect 10 allowed me to revisit one of my favourite games from a mechanically different view and with a different style of combat. I found it unforgiving (in a good way) but very rewarding in terms of story. Also Truffles.

So Escapists what DLC have you enjoyed and why?

I forgot what it was called but Gears 2 had a special DLC package that came with all the DLC multiplayer maps(+8 or so) and a deleted chapter for campaign, and all for around $20.

Definitely the best DLC I've purchased.

Undead Nightmare for Red Dead Redemption. It helps that flattening a horde of zombies with a flaming horse will never stop being hilarious.

Seriously, RDR lends itself to a survival horror setting surprisingly well.

Lair of the Shadow Broker, only DLC I've liked. And the rest of ME DLC, but LotSB is better than the rest of ME2. From what I've heard, if I had RDR the zombie DLC would join LotSB.

The best DLC I've ever bought was Secret Armoury of General Knoxx for Borderlands.

Huge new map and instances. Excellent story based final boss and funny cast of characters, 2 new vehicles and a SUPER MEGA AWESOME FINAL FINAL BOSS for the lewts.

It's expansive, enjoyable and not too expensive. Just what DLC should be.

Fallout new vegas Londsome road,before screaming at me that it's not out yet,it's my favourite because it has a direct connection to the past of the courier,and is a big part of the main plot.

Point Lookout for Fallout 3. It was big, interesting and different.

I really enjoyed Old World Blues for Fallout: New Vegas. It had a nice big area to explore with a cool history, new weapons and other items, new uses for old items, and some great humor. It's not often that a video game will make me laugh out loud, but OWB did several times.

The Secret Armory of General Knoxx and The Zombie Island of Dr Ned from Borderlands. Hilarious, spooky, serious, and balls out action packed pieces of DLC.

The Secret Armory of General Knoxx from Borderlands, the only DLC I ever got that at the end of it I actually considered the money well spent.

Don't get me wrong I've got all the DLC for ME2 and DA:O and a slew of other games, and I enjoyed most of them, but they were all too short for the price tag, an hour of game play and a few items is not worth the cash or the hassle of the 3 mouse clicks to download them.

Fallout: New Vegas' Old World Blues, no doubt about it. The only complaint I have is that, at least in my experience, it seems more susceptible to lagging and freezing than the regular game. The loot is great, the writing could hardly have been more hilarious if the folks behind the Portal games had been involved somehow, the voice acting was glorious and hammy, and the genuinely chilling effect of listening to Ulysses talk about my character in that one audio log has me totally stoked for Lonesome Road. Basically, it's just full-blown, top-to-bottom awesome, and I'm even having little fits of laughter right now just thinking about some of the crazy shit that went down, so that just reinforces my decision to name it as my favourite.

Yes! And that's selling it short: it actually had 3 new vehicles (racer, monster, & tank). That one really is a great value.

So was Point Lookout for Fallout 3.

Both of these were only $10 and provided huge new maps with huge new adventures. That's what DLC should be: inexpensive expansions done for the sake of the fans rather than overpriced leftovers quickly finished up for the sake of leeching a few more bucks off the fans. There's been DLC for other games that were twice as much only offered new missions and a few new toys.
Too many publishers take advantage of gamers willing to make impulse purchases.

I enjoyed all of Oblivion's DLC (yes, even horse armor). My favorite was probably Battlehorn castle as it was so badass to get your own gigantic fortress with your own guard and servants including a sparring partner for training. Knights of the Nine also awesome because of the armor I added.

I also loved all of Fallout 3's DLC. Even Anchorage and Mothership Zeta, I felt they all added either a great story, great loot, or both. New Vegas DLC so far...well, to put it nicely, it's been shit.

And just for lols mentioning: The DLC for Crackdown 1. A massive cheat mode, loads of updates to the game, and loads of cool new weapons and vehicles including a stealth suit and A FUCKING TANK.

My favorite DLC was point lookout for fallout 3. My reasons are simple, it expanded the game world and kept what made Fallout 3 awesome, Exploration, Side Quests and crazy characters. Every other DLC for that game made me feel confined like I was playing Call of Duty. Operation Anchorage was bad. The only reason I played it was the winterized T51-B and the Gauss Rifle. The Gameplay was horrendous. If I wanted a mediocre shooter I woulda played Call of Duty. The Pitt was enjoyable, but it was small and there wasn't much to explore. Mothership Zeta was like Anchorage but worse. Broken Steel was awesome because it not only added new areas, the new stuff (Albino Radscorpion, Super Mutant Overlords. etc.) was applicable everywhere and the level cap raise was nice but they could have spent more time on the perks. However, I think that Broken Steel should have been part of the original game.
