Final Fantasy VII had some awesome music. Especially the one song. I can't remember its name but I get chills every time I hear it. And Suicide Mission in Mass Effect 2. And Saren's theme in Mass Effect 1

I'm torn between the theme song in Cave Story and basically the entire soundtrack of Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinitey
Quick Question: Is Gates to Infinity as good as the other Pokemon Mystery Dungeon games? Recently bought a 3DS and I loved explorers of Darkness, but I've heard that the Wii PMD games were pretty awful.
OT: Burn My Dread from Persona 3 in all it's many forms is pretty good (though seriously there are like 5 versions). The Last Battle version in particular is very good, and was a big surprise after the much more ordinary Battle For Everyone's Souls. How many games have rap as the final boss theme?

Even after all these years it's still probably the opening theme for Baldur's Gate 2: Shadows of Amn, it just perfectly encapsulates the entire tone and mood of the game and even after having listened to it countless times I still enjoy it today.

Another oldie but goodie is the old Thief: The Dark Project theme.

I think it was already mentioned here but definitely:

I used to fuckin' suck at the game because I was so young and playing anything past young Link would terrify me so I'd play on my brother's save file as adult Link in the Gerudo Valley to listen to the song and swan dive off the cliff into the river below.

This is a quick question, but this is certainly not a quick answer.

Depending on what your looking for I would either recommend it or suggest you play it as a quickie and return it.
If your looking for something even more stuffed than the previous installments? Then you will be disappointed in this game...like, it's not a BAD game. Far from it. I enjoyed it. I really did. However at the same time...it was just too lacking.

Here are the pros of the game:

-Excellent soundtrack
-Gorgeous visuals
-Well rounded characters. That includes the NPCs and Side characters
-Good main storyline
-More efficient gameplay
-Additions like Mysteriosity adds a lot more caution and randomness to the game. They either benefit you or make your explorations even harder.
-Can use orbs in boss battles.(This is a con depending on who you ask)

Here are the cons(and some of them can be a real deal breaker):

- Game is limited to mainly(because they don't even include all of them) 5th generation Pokemon with only a handful of Pokemon from the other gen.
- None of your recruited Pokemon have a gender. Heck even your rival is assumed male despite numerous advertisements hinting at your partner potentially being female.
-No hunger (of course with the change in weather mechanics you won't be missing it.)
- Huge lack of end game sub plots. In fact, there are no end games sub plots. That to me is the biggest killer next to lack of Pokemon. Only reason why I'm holding on to this game is on the sheer hope that they will utilize DLC to add more content.
-Weather. Before this game, weather used to be for the most part beneficial to players and enemies if your not careful. Now however the cons outweighs the pros. No matter what the weather pattern is you cannot heal while walking. Yes, even if said weather is beneficial to your Pokemon. This is especially worse if you have ailments or your teammates have ailments, your low on health, and/or you are stuck in hail or sandstorms. It's infuriating and I don't think anyone sans your teammates and stupid enemy CPU uses it. It also negates using weather moves or orbs because the cons are just that great.

That aside I repeat it is indeed a FUN GAME.
There are a lot of things they added that really enhance the PMD experience. However in that same installment they took away a lot of things.
One step forwards two step backwards would be an appropriate term for this game.

It's the only game song I can ever remember, usually I never even notice music playing in a game, so all these orchestral pieces are lost on me.

This song however was a like a kick in the back of the head, I remember playing FFX and sitting up when I heard this song start up, I literally sat up.

I was slouched down in my chair, then this song started up and instantly my butt scooted back and I leaned forward.

(I then got quite sick of it 'cos it took me 20 odd tries to kill Jecht)

Many of the themes from the Kingdom Hearts series (particularly Dearly Beloved), Pokemon, Okami, Persona 3 and 4, RedXIII's theme, Those Who Fight and One Winged Angel from FF7, Hymn of the Fayth from FFX, The Price of Freedom and Under the Apple Tree from FF Crisis Core, Bloody Tears from Castlevania.

Most of my favs have already been posted, so I'll just say the ones I really liked that have already been used so as not to clutter up pages with tons of videos (it takes me forever to load pages with tons of videos).

Chronotrigger theme. The final couple of seconds literally feels like the sounds of heaven. I just love it.
Battlefield 1942 theme. DUN DUN DUN DUN DUN..DUN DUN DUN DUN DUN. Always awesome.
Mass Effect 2 theme. That song may have a lot to do with just why I love that game so much. Ahh so awesome.
Final Fantasy VI theme. At first, it just sounds like the regular prelude that plays in all the FFs. Then, about 40 seconds in...
Punchout! theme. Ok, sure it isn't as epic or beautiful as some of the others, but I dare you to listen to it without humming it!
Final Fantasy X-2 theme. I'm not a fan of the game. But the soundtrack is still pretty good. And I still love the theme.

Ok, so those are the main themes on my list, but I'd like to include some others that I really enjoy. Though I'm sure most people have already heard them, I'd like to hope someone hears it that hasn't before.

Schala's theme. It's just beautiful. Everytime I hear it I just stop to listen to it. The most amazing part is that the character herself is barely in the game, has but a little dialogue and in Chronotrigger, doesn't directly do much of significance. Yet her theme gives her everything you need to know.
Celes' theme. What's that? A description? I'm sorry, I just need to go over here...and wipe this dust from my eye...yeah dust.
World Revolution. It may not be the final boss theme, but I love it more. The song makes you feel hopeless and still manages to feel epic. While the battle isn't as amazing as the final battle, the theme makes up for it.
02 theme. Imagine you're playing kirby having fun with all the cutesy-ness. Then, you unlock the secret final boss. The level is a little disturbing, but you've seen worse. You meet up with all your friends who help you advance to the actual boss. THEN THE BOSS IS A GIANT WHITE EYE WITH A HALO, WINGS, AND BLOOD EVERYWHERE. Then, as you attack it, a giant green thorny cock shoots out and attacks you...anyway the music is pretty good.
To close out, I have two credits themes I love. Both from the Chrono games. They're both amazing in their own ways. The first manages to be solemn while being happy and is amazing. The second is all sadness, but is beautiful.

Edit: Oh crap, I forgot Kid's theme! So no one wants to hear my reasoning so just listen to the song (it's really good)
