I've got lists of films & TV shows I need to see, bands I need to listen to etc but I want to compile a list of games I've never played, PC titles preferably, if I've already played a suggestion, sure I'll play it again XD

Kind of a bad title eh? You're asking us what our favorite games are but actually you're asking us to recommend you pc games. I'm going to say anything from valve.

My favorite game is Final Fantasy Tactics, but if you are looking for PC games, my favorite would probably have to be Diablo II or Sim City 3000.

I toss in Darkseed and Harvester, as your OP asks. The former is incredibly twisted, while the latter is incredibly underrated.
But my favorite PC titles are probably: Half Life, Diablo 2 and TF2.

Team Fortress 2 is going to come up alot if you want a PC game.

Crash Bandicoot 2 is my favourite game, by the way. Just going by the title there.

Fallout 3. Incredible. Everyone should buy it and dedicate at least 100 hours to playing it. Like I did. And yet I've only made 3 characters.

The same thing I always say. Baldur's Gate 2. Failing that, any of the Knights of the Old Republic, Dawn of War, Company of Heroes, too many to mention.

EDIT: Oh, and any of the Total War games.

I figured my intention would be obvious but OK: What's your favourite game (I say PC preference cause I have a decent rig so why not take advantage of that but also have access to xbox 360, ps2, Nintendo DS and any emulators available online if you're that interested) so that I may gauge what is considered good and therefore not waste any time searching for something that turns out shit. I trust the tastes of the gaming community by and large and have few if any genre dislikes (RPG, FPS, whatever, don't really mind) so peoples' favourite game would be a good place to start. That clearer?
