Your favourite gaming back-up?

Quite a few games offer some form of back-up, support or help. Whatever you want to call it, it can range from an army of American soldiers to a small, yellow, flying fox.

My favourite is Fallout 3's (Yes, an obvious choice I know) Jericho. He swears, smokes, drinks and hates everything. Gotta' love him.

HK-47(KOTOR): Every single line he said made me love him more, also with the right weapons and armor he can back me up when fighting the sith.

Second place goes to the marines (Halo2). They say the most hilarious stuff.

I liked Captain Price, Gaz and Staff Sergeant Griggs. Their parts and differing personalities and backgrounds complement one another.

Griggs: Oh you gotta be shittin' me!

Gaz: Sorry sir, but you can try pulling on them if you like.
Price: Cheeky bastard.

I prefer Fawkes, he/she is basically an invincible killing machine.

Yeahhh, but he's really boring. Every now and again he'll moan about how you'll find "Peace in mindfulnuss", then obilterate a town full of raiders and tuck away his huge Gatling Laser behind his back as if nothing just happened.

Jericho on the other hand finishes, starts and pretty much bases his lines around swearing, which he does very well.

He's also a cocky bastard.

In reality, I'd go with the Companion Cube. It's not completely useless by getting in the way and exchanging dialog some talentless hack thought was witty, except when it threatens to stab you. (I still have nightmares.)

I'm going to have to agree with the first two, there. Never really used Liara.

Wrex, however, was the MAN. He was my desktop background for about two months after I finished Mass Effect.

Other than that... Yeah, Gaz was my favorite, for some reason. I was PISSED when he died.

Tails. I love Tails. I can't tell you how many times I've been fighting Robotnik and lost all my rings only to have Tails catch a single ring, ensuring that I don't die the next time I get hit and thereby saving my ass.

Also, Francis. His complaining and hatred of everything is hilarious.
