Likely Baroque from Eternal Sonata. The game itself isn't brilliant, only good, but that city is brilliant. I also give give a Special Distinction to Paradise City from Burnout: Paradise since its an awesome city to drive around in.

The Nether Institute Evil Academy. As long as you avoid taking a Demon title, don't take any offers to serve under anybody (particulary the Vato brothers or the Diez gentelmen), and avoid going to class, you can be all set. Free food, Guarranteed lodging because the place is Ever-expanding, and the ability to get all the way to level 9999 if you become a secondary story character so as to avoid the "Do Not become anybody's Servent" clause, and you can have the time of your Life.

There was this other town in FFIX that was a Metropolis, but I can't remember what it was named. I remember that as you got closer to the city it started becoming darker untill it was nighttime, and the lights of the city were filledwith such warmth that II still remember it with fondness.

My favorite in-game city has to be Raccoon City, closely followed by Silent Hill. I love to live dangerously.

Amn from Baldur's Gate 2 always looked awesome to me, full of stuff to do and odd things to see. Plus the sounds they used made me feel it was an actual city full of people (regardless of the lack of visual people)

The City from Thief, love the dynamics and the look of it so far (working way through The Metal Age)

Rapture, I love Art Deco like woah. I really want them to show the city BEFORE everyone and their dog went crazy in it.

I don't remember the name of it, but I remember loving this one underground city in Morrowind. At least I think it was underground...in a cliff face or something. Its been years but I liked the look of it.

Neo Kobe is my favourite in-game city. Okay, its crowded and has a high crime rate but it looks pretty (in a dirty, gritty, cyberpunk kinda way) and all the girls are attractive (if you find cartoons attractive of course). Shame about the whole snatcher thing....

The city in the last stage of We Love Katamari.
The one where you get so big that you end up rolling up the city off the face of the earth towards the end.

Feeling like a noob, but oh well. I like GTA 4's Liberty City, its made for walking around and seeing the sights.

EDIT: I also love Esther City from Final Fantasy VIII

South Figaro from FF6. I loved it to pieces because it was one of the first RPG cities I had ever visited in-game. Oh, memories of the SNES.

This is a tough one, I dislike most cities and towns in games.

In sandbox(or whatever genre the super-powered jumping all over the city but not going inside buildings type is) games, you can't go inside buildings, which makes them like big rocks to me, it bugs me to no end.

In Oblivion, nothing was sacred, you can invite yourself into any building you feel like and there is never anything truly interesting or different in them.

Thief was pretty good though, I loved sneaking into people's houses and helping myself to their valuables.

This is fairly unrelated but the non-combat areas in Too Human SUCKED, there was little to no reason to ever be there....

Well, in general most towns and cities bore me in games because:

-It feels randomly generated and all the buildings are technically the same
-You can't go inside buildings(Only some games)
-There is no reason to go inside buildings

If there is a game in which these 3 do not apply, please inform me about it.

(Sits and waits for Vice City,Liberty City and San Andreas)
San Andreas is a state.

I chose Rapture!
To live in? Then I chose Newport from TLJ. Or Casablanca after the Collapse.

Rapture. In terms of art direction and general concept it beats any other ingame city I know into a red gooey paste.

God knows, let's see... Hell, I just don't know... I'd have to say Thunderbluff, that place was awesome.
