Most of us know of one or maybe more bands that aren't wildly successful or well known but are loved and supported by a small but loyal fan base. My question is whether you are a fan of one of this kind of band and if so, who are they?

My choice for this is a local band called InMe. They have been into the top 40 a few times and yet I struggle to find more than a few people who have even heard of them (after 8 years of making albums and touring, they still have less than 4000 likes on facebook(I'm aware this isn't an accurate way of measuring popularity but you get the point.)) They're an alternative/metal band, see below for a demonstration of their awesomedom.

CB7. They're supported by Shannon Leto from 30 Seconds to Mars. I saw them live on Halloween & they're amazing! I'm friends with the lead singer on Facebook & he follows me on a twitter account supporting them.

As I said, I very infrequently bump into people who've heard of InMe, despite living in their hometown, I'd say that makes them fairly obscure. Also, Having seen the band thrice and the lead singer countless times at acoustic gigs, I can assure they are incredibly talented musicians and deserve more recognition than they get :) However, if you were saying that they were not "awesome" because you don't like the style of music that they play, then I'm afraid I can't help you, taste is like... subjective and that :D

Awesome! I like Tarot too. And i'm not sure they're that obscure, though i wouldn't call them famous either.

Oh, come on, Lordi isn't obscure. They may not be so famous now, but they've won a Eurovision Award, as far as i can remember.

Well, i would say Magica probably. I think that's quite obscure. That's what came to my mind now, though there are other band that i'm just not sure how obscure they are.

Alestorm, Annihilator, Claymore (I know right, same name), Coheed and Cambria, Disarmonia Mundi, Korpiklaani, Rage, Sabaton, Static-X, Waltari.

Naturally, these aren't all, and some may not be obscure, and some others I didn't think were may be.

But nevertheless, here are some.

Beatallica is pretty obscure. I'm a real hardcore fan.
What would you say is their best album? I've been looking into them, but I can't decide which to get.

Anyway, Racer X. Not super obscure, but still.

If you've had the misfortune to read a few of my recent posts you would see that I've been raving about this band all year, since I saw them supporting Airbourne. They've toured with loads of people, and their album's out next year (already got it though, thanks to the pre-sale). When that's released I reckon that they'll get a lot bigger; the rock press has been all over them.

And of course, they have a song about being murdered by KISS. They're just that good.

Oh really? Well, I would recommend their "first" one Sgt. Hetfield's Motorbreath Pub Band since it's kinda like a best of (or at least that's how I'd describe it). Some of their early EPsss are also good, but really, really hard to find.
