Title says it all my personal favourite is Jon Lajoie

-one of his commercials
-his song

He has a lot of other songs that you maybe heard like:I kill people,Show me your genitals, everyday normal guy, etc.

inb4 Weird Al Yankovic, he will probably fill the half thread.

I just love Bohemian Polka, even though it's just Bohemian Rhapsody with twice the speed.

Well, he is the only one I would define as parody. Lonely Island has parody songs, but I wouldn't call them parody artists.

Depends what you mean by parody. Weird Al parodies songs, Jon Lajoie parodies genres of songs, Flight of the Conchords mucks around being silly, but there's some parody in there somewhere.

In reference to the first one, it's so spot on. I played piano, and I realized this so quickly. I even mentioned it to my teacher, and she agreed.

Gotta be Spinal Tap. Yes, they're a complete pastiche of '70s rock bands, but their songs are actually pretty damn catchy.

Definitely psychostick, although they dont really parody. They are more of a comedy rock group, they make fun of what people sing about by singing about the most random things.

Since half this thread will be Weird Al (which was my first choice I admit) I will strive to be different. My favorite Parody/Comedy band would be Feuerschwanz a German comedy band that uses folk instruments and makes fun of other folk bands albeit in German.

Not strictly a parody group, but this is an amusing take-off of a classic folk song, by Adrian Edmondson's band, "The Bad Shepherds":

My favorite would definitely be Weird Al, but Richard Cheese would be not far behind. His lounge jazz versions of "Down With the Sickness" and "Chop Suey" are simply unforgettable. Also, while he's not strictly a parodist, Jonathan Coulton's another of my favorites, especially his soft-rock cover of "Baby Got Back".
