Ah, brings back memories of Diablo 2, playing through enelessly fun levels of monster killing, item collecting and levelling up. It might shock you to find that i've never actually played Starcraft, so i should probably get on that, though i'm not particularly found of RTS's.

you arent missing anything on Starcraft. i played each race once, then it became boring. especially because the AI rushes you after 5 minutes.

If you can't handle rushes you're not fit for RTSes. Not saying that you can't or anything, but if you mean that as in "OMG I WUZ RUSHED B4 I WUZ REDDEH" as opposed to "They just spam units at me after 5 minutes of game time..." then what I just said stands.

Starcraft doesn't require much patience for an RTS imo, it's a lot faster paced than, say, the Age of Empires series. It also has a great campaign/story, and it concentrates more on fun gameplay than other RTSes I've played. I'd highly recommend it myself, especially considering that it'll be so cheap now.

Other than that I like the Ur-Quan Masters, Halo 1 & 2, Call of Duty 4, Counter-Strike, a lot of point-click adventure-games that I can't be arsed to name, Portal and Team Fortress 2... Probably something else to. [I'm tired]

Stalker Shadow of chernobly has recently overtaken Half Life as my favourite game. Doubtless that will change if Episode 3 is realased. (yes i said if)
Clear sky was also alot of fun with the mods on.
Every game by valve can be included with the exception of TF2, which i dont have.
