I thought I would make this thread for people to post some of their favourite screenshotsfrom some of their favourite games. I just ask that you put the pictures in spoiler tags so as not to completely clutter up the page. I'll start with a screenshot I took from one of my favourite games of all time, Cryostasis.

but..i have to say..i only found out about that game..2 days ago, becuase of the escapist..and i still havent finished watching the "lets Play"

This screenie from Bioshock is literally everywhere (including the back of the box) and I feel as though it sums up the overall feeling of the game quite nicely.

This thread has just made me realise that I've never taken a screenshot of a game....ever.

Hrmmm.... Must get on that.

Anyway, I've always liked this screenshot myself, from STALKER: SoC.

I wouldn't recommend it. Call Of Pripyat, while actually better than SoC and Clear Sky in gameplay and general stability, has been seriously re-optimized. However, whereas they failed totally in optimization for the first one, they've gone too far overboard with this one, because it looks like dogshit, compared to the first and Clear Sky. Even on full settings.

It's still a great game, but it don't look pretty.

I'll have to take your word on that for now, my internet is disliking pictures at the moment >_>

Technically this is a cinematic screenshot but still it detailed my three favourite characters in Mass Effect so I'm counting it regardless.

Also, this isn't mine but I thought I would show it regardless:

No it isn't, for a while I thought it was too but when I looked at the outline and saw the 'digitiation' (i.e the rough edges around the 3D model) I realised that it was probably a forerunner temple illuminated by a recent explosion and then with a large amount of photoshop added. That's my theory anyway.
It looks pretty similar though. I'll give you that.
