I want to know your favourite star wars game, as the name say's and why?
is it for the story?
the gameplay?
or something else?

mine would be Star wars:KOTOR, because of the story in both the games, as it doesnt get boring and is pretty immersive. Also there is a ton of side quests, throughout the game you can do.
I also love the gameplay, as it gives you control over your party and you, with lots of RPG aspects and aspects from other genres too.
I also like the amounts of weaponry and armour you can get in-game for your party and characters.

Battlefront 2. One of my first FPSs, I just have great memories of it. Really fun gameplay.

hmm, that is a toughie. KOTOR was a massive, Jedi-based, RPG nerdgasm. But BF2 was also pretty awesome.... gah I can't decide :(

You're all forgetting about Lego: Star Wars though :p

Kotor~! 100%

It was so personalized and the story line wasn't halfbad. I haven't played in about a year so I can't remember much. But it is an amazing game, challanging too~

Spelling = fail.

Knight of the Old Republic, for definite. Brilliantly written and absorbing to a massive degree.

However, Empire at War was amazing too.

In chronological order:

X-Wing Alliance - Fulfilled my life-long dream of piloting an X-Wing and shooting down TIE fighters. I know all the games in the X-Wing series did this, but I believe XWA did this better than its predecessors and the final battle was EPIC! Not the number 1 space combat sim (Freespace 2 was) but it was Star Wars so it was just as good. The first time entered hyperspace and saw the stretching stars and the wormhole effect of the Star Wars films I got goose bumps. :)

Jedi Outcast - Was better than Academy due to story and playing as Kyle. Academy broke off from the Jedi Knight series storyline too much, even though the choice of dual-wield and twin-bladed sabers was really cool.

KotOR - This would fit in any of my top 10 games lists. When I first played it, it was an amazing, unique experience. It is a fantastic Star Wars game that does not require you to know, or even LIKE, anything Star Wars related in order to enjoy.

As for some of the newer games:

Battlefront was nice (both of them) but it never felt Star Wars-y enough. It wasn't missing anything I guess, it just kinda felt like Battlefield with Star Wars skins. Which isn't bad, by any means, it just doesn't give you that unique SW feeling the other games do.

Haven't played either of the Force Unleashed games, but I plan to do so soon.

though i loved KotOR and KotOR 2, i have to say i spent many more enjoyable hours with friends playing Battlefront, so i'd have to pick that. and i don't get all the love on Battlefront 2 :( you couldn't see for shit in that game, and playing as jedi was just goofy.

Battlefront 2 is actually pretty close to being one of my favourite games ever. It's just so inexplicably fun!

My favorite is Knights of the Old Republic II, which I preferred to the first one because of the presentation, the story, the main character, and the expanded skill sets. It's slow as fuck to start, brimming with glitches, and it ends not-so-well, but for some reason I prefer it over the original by quite a bit.

I guess I'll have to go with Shadows of the Empire, but that's just because it's the ony one I ever played.

Battlefront II I've just have so much fun with that game, and I re-bought it on Steam. But I've never played Knights of the Old Republic...
