The last couple of years, it's been a four-way battle for supremacy between Spider-Man (my favorite since childhood), Batman (always teetering on that edge of heroism and madness), Superman (Grant Morrison's humanist approach to him did this), and Moon Knight (a possibly psychotic hero who has to combat his more violent impulses to do the right thing).

I'll pick Moon Knight for this because he's the underdog.

Believe it or not us superman fans are pretty rare now, most people seem to prefer the darker sort of heros these days, But to me superman is the greatest comic book hero of all time and he defines the term: Superhero.
