Probably Leisure Suit Larry at a friends house. I didn't even know what a butt plug was for but there I was trying to find one.

What was? You didn't actually name the game, just said that it involved killing zombies.

Doom and Doom II [if they count]. Otherwise GTA 3, the guy in the shop didn't really mind selling it to me, despite being obviously under age. There were only two games shops in my town back then, one of them sold M rated games under the counter to teens, the other didn't... guess which one got more business than the other?

Dang, I'd forgotten that one. Okay, so my first "M" qualified game was Wolfenstein (mein leben!)... I'm thinking my first game with "M" on the box was probably Doom2.

Far Cry 2 which I bought about a week ago - it is strange actually, but I have never really actually had an 18 game that I liked before. Also Fallout 3 soon. (I am 15, but my profile probably says I am 20 or something because I am paranoid about those shitty age limitation things on Gamespot videos etc so I always say I am improbably ancient).

I started gaming in Call of Duty plus Call of Duty 2. I was psyched when Call of Duty 4 came out... with an M rating. So, I bought that online and BioShock at a retailer and got them at about the same time. One of those 2.

Well, if killing zombies qualifies as a 18+ game, then Zombies ate my Neighbors.
If not, then first ones I had were Wolfenstein 3D and Doom.
But before that, the first "adult" game I remember playing, at a friend's house, was Leisure Suit Larry. I remember we had to keep lookout so my friend's mom wouldn't catch us playing it. I can't remember how my friend came by that game now...

First game where I actually made "mature" decisions, as in the right and responsible ones, KOTOR and Neverwinter Nights comes to mind.

I thought resident evil was pretty much implied through the text?

Resident Evil.

Jeez that was scary when I was 7.

I can't help thinking that it's got weaker though, as time has passed. Resi 4 isn't a patch on the first game for horror (although I think suspense has been lost since we all know it's a zombie game now...)

Yea Leisure suit larry was probably my first game as well, though it could of been wolfenstien or doom, hard to remember back so far. I never really got very far with it though, died way to much not having a clue what was going on. Mugged in the ally and being run over or beat up by a cab driver.

I started long before ratings... but it'd either have to be Leisure Suit Larry 5 or Wolfenstein 3D.

...Actually, thinking back to all the games I've played in arcades... most of them should've been rated M. I mean, look at NARC, Pit Fighter, or Smash TV.

:O lies on the internet!

Australia doesn't have an 18+ rating for games...but I guess the first Mortal Kombat on the Mega Drive/Genesis would be mine.

Sucks to be you.

Did you know that in New Zealand some games will have stickers saying "Banned in Australia!" on them? Playing it off as a good thing. I laugh whenever I see that.

Hah nice! While i was playing BF2142 with the aussie clans i always found a sort of rivalry between the 2 lol.

I lost my Mature themes virginity to half life. Woot for me!

Edit : I never actually got an AO game but i did play GTA at my friend's place
