I have no idea what the first one I bought was. The first I remember listening to was probably...Number of the Beast by Iron Maiden. There's a chance that it was Painkiller by Judas Preist though...

It was the 5" of Devo's "Whip It"

I have no clue what happened to it over the years. Think probably a friend borrowed it and never returned.

Still love Devo, and especialy that song. Not sure about loving thier genre though since I'm not huge into technotronics, but nothing else, ever, has really had the same sound/ feel as them.

What was the first album you ever brought and when did you last listen to it? Also do you like that band/genre or have your tastes changed since?

For me it was Awake my dream theater probably listened to it a few weeks ago. I still like the band and listen to lots of other prog metal.

Holy crap that was exactly what I got as my first album, although I had listened to Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence first, and I also listened to awake about week ago.
I sense conspiracy brewing...

Can't remember, so I'll tell you the last one I bought: A Song Is A City by Eskimo Joe. I'm listening to it now (I am in love with Eskimo Joe and have all four of their albums, they do great stuff. You should all go and check them out.)

The first album I ever bought was the Marshal Mathers LP by Eminem/Marshal Mathers. That was when I was about 7, before I realized how stupid most rap is. My tastes have taken a sharp turn in the metal direction and I haven't strayed from that path, although I do listen to music from a variety of other genres.

GreenDay Dookie on casset, back in 94 (back in the day) when i was at school I didnt really know who they where at the time but the artwork appealled to my childish self,,, brought it 3 times on casset that year because kept wearing it out. since then have brought it 4 times on CD as keeps getting trashed... I love that album...
