2007-ish, winter somewhere. Amon Amarth + Dimmu Borgir. Fucking metalgasm.
Where was this? I saw this setup in Oslo roundabout the same time, but then with Engel as extra warmup (they were awsome, but I've never heard, or seen, anything from them since.)

OT: Saw westlife 9 years ago... but since I was young and stupid, I tend to ignore that fact. So the first cencert I went to were Iron Maiden in Oslo in '06.

Can't remember the year, I'm pretty sure it was three years ago I went to the NIN/JA concert. Three bands performed, the opening: Street Sweeper Social Club (Their not just a band their a social club.) The band I went to see: Nine Inch Nails and then: Jane's Addiction. It was the best concert ever and me and my older brother had great seats. It's a shame that's the last time I will ever see Nine Inch Nails live again since Trent is done touring.

The concert I went two had four bands playing
Buckcherry
Shinedown
Saving Abel
Avenged Sevenfold

Before the concert even started these two kids were really fucking annoying they were standing in line to this concert singing Psychostick songs I was like WTF? I wish I could have punched them both in the face for being so annoying... -.-

The first three were great but by the time A7X went on I was pretty much deaf because I was on the floor about eight rows back from the speakers, if I remember right about half way through the performance one of the band members walked off stage or something. Funny things that went on during the concert some lady was on her boyfriend's shoulders and out of nowhere she gets smashed in the face with a flying shoe.

Then I ended up walked into the middle of two drunk guys having a fight, needless to say I got punched in the face before someone pulled me away. >.<

Ah... good times... good times...

1995, Econoline Crush and The Tea Party, two Canadian alt-rock bands that were fairly big in Canada in the early/mid-90s, then kind of vanished (just like most of the early 90s North American alt-rock scene). It was awesome.

The opening act was a then-unknown band called Big Wreck, who went on to some mainstream success in the late 90s. They also have the distinction of being the band I've seen four times never intending to, because they kept opening up for other bands I went to see.

Nightwish a couple of years ago. It was either '07 or '08, I can't remember.

It was really fun though. ^_^

My first concert was some shitty country at a county fair (man that sounds hickish) that my parents went to when I was like 4 or something. The first concert I went to on my own accord...

I honestly cannot remember. It was probably some pop-punk or contemporary christian concert, honestly. I'm pretty sure it was. I was into that stuff in my early teens. First ones I went to without parents: Warped Tour 2005 in charlotte. I don't think I would even like most of the stuff I liked then either.

The last one I went to: The Avett Brothers

A Violent Femmes concert.

First really big one 1993 Big Day Out.
How was that? I've always wanted to hear them play "Add It Up" in person. Seems like they would draw an odd crowd.

It was in 2005 I believe, I saw Underoath, Poison the Well, As Cities Burn and Spitfire. It was pretty awesome, especially considering underoath was my favorite band at the time.

You guys are making me feel old! Okay, here goes...

My first concert was seeing Depeche Mode when they were touring for their Music For The Masses album.

No, I won't tell you what year that was.

I can't remember if it was Sum 41 or Tenacious D, I'm leaning more towards Sum 41 as I can't remember most of it, I think it was in 2002.

My first concert was a small metal gig in my hometown around 1994.The headliners were a Scottish band called Korpse and the support were 2 Irish bands,Primordial(who are one of my favourite bands to this day) and Fifth Dominion(who have long since split up)

My first high profile concert was Megadeth supported by Corrosion of Conformity in Dublin that same year

Fallout Boy in 2008, only because I ended up with free tickets. Was a major disappointment, though the other two folks who I gave the tickets to were appreciative enough to treat me afterwards.

Went to see Europe when they played in Stockholm around 2003 or something.
I'm not a big fan, but I went there since a friend wanted me to come.

Most memorable one is Priest Feast however. Testament, Megadeth and Judas Priest played. Three of my favorite bands in one show!
Was pure ear/eyegasm from beginning to end.

Hehe, thanks for reminding me of Halestorm's Drummer, he did that trick here (the netherlands) too :)

And the stage screens where indeed awesome, especially during Disturbed's performance \m/
Yeah, they did that on the Uproar Festival as well. I think it's his thing...he's one hell of a drummer, I'm not the biggest fan of the band but their drummer is insane.

OT: Warped Tour 2010. Saw a great many bands there for the first time. Has all different type of bands for all your tastes and it lasts all day so it's a good first concert if you live in the states and like bands that are generally only signed to large indie labels. Also, it's not very loud for those of you who don't like very loud things; when I saw A7X I was ringing several days afterwards.

Enter Shikari 2-3 years ago, not that memorable to be honest.
Except where i punched some 12 year old in the face, that was good!
