Come to think of it, it probably was an 'illegal' punk concert back at the start of 90ties, '91 or '92 held at an abandoned farm near my city. Mostly garage bands, few 70's/80's local punk legends, lots of dirt and grande finale involving the police sirens and bunch of cops with helmets, shields and batons making everyone run in every possible direction.

Fun times. Was grounded for a week then when my parents found out.
Nice! I've done one of those! Only it was in a forest and everyone was so hammered that I still try to figure out how the band was playing not only coherently, but well. When the cops popped up I just started running with a friend and what felt like a second later it was morning out and we were two towns over. We know we stopped running often, but walking back was NOT fun

Bob Dylan concert in Brisbane. He sounded terrible which left me devastated.
The only problem with Bob Dylan is that he's got a horrific habit of just ad libbing his lyrics. Considering all his songs tell a story or mean something, it ruins about 3/4 of his songs. Add in his stoner-ism (not to bash him, but because it's true), and his concerts aren't very good

When I was in middle school, my mum took me to a Joey McIntyre concert.

Yeaaaaaah. I think it was OK but I don't even remember.

DevilDriver in Oxford a few years back.

Was awesome, tiny venue too. Only about 200 people there. Still bloody brutal.

Ha, saw Bullet at my first 'gig' too. Sonisphere festival 2009. I wont write a step by step review, it'd take hours, but it was bloody good.

About BMTH, they're just shit live. I really do like the recorded stuff.

I was going to have my first ever live concert this Friday at Wembley Stadium until it turned out the website we bought the tickets from was a prank site and haven't sent us the tickets, keeping our money.

Breaking Benjamin with Kidnap Kings (then, Dropping Daylight) at the Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom in NH. It was cool not only because I got to hang out with Dropping Daylight on the beach beforehand but also it was the event that let me know "damn, I'm not in High School anymore." Four years later, I saw Breaking Benjamin at the Casino Ballroom again and it was kind of neat to see my life come full circle after college.

Hah, reminds me of one of my recent trips to a festival held in my country that started as a tribute to Woodstock. First day with bunch of friends we made a trip before evening concerts started down to the town to buy some drinks since the beer at official pubs was too expensive and local market had them for like 1/4th the price. Like it usually happens we started drinking on our way back eventually making some wrong turns and spent the night trying to get back. When we finally reached the camp site we were drunk, tired and those 30 cans of beer were just a feint memory. At least we had excuse to go back to town again, but we missed pretty much all the bands, think i've seen maybe 2 or 3 performances over 3 days there. Totally worth it.

Sounds like an epic trip if you ask me. We don't have that many gigs in farm land or forest out here. Infact I haven't heard of one since that night when I went. People here all try to play in Montreal if they can get a show, rather than play for a private audiance. Oh well.

First gig was Behind Crimson Eyes with Sleep Parade, the Mission in Motion and Ellington. Quite forgettable and all, since I don't actually like any of those bands, but my friend asked me to go. So I did. Wasn't too bad, even though there was an excess of teenage girls. Might've been because it was an all ages show. My first experience made me realise that a lot of bands sound either really shit live, and great in studio albums, or they sound awesome live and suck when you listen to them in your own room. Rarely do they manage to do both.

Ahhhh Bullet are coming tomorrow to Melbourne! A fcking SHAME I'm not going, because I've heard NOTHING but good things about their tours. And BMTH ain't too bad either.
They were seriously amazing. They played all of their songs flawlessly and Matt Tuck talked to the crowd constantly with a smile on his face. Oh, and the drum intro to Scream Aim Fire was amazing. It shook my whole body, it was that loud.
Aw man, aw man, you're making me insanely jealous. Wish I was going tomorrow. Might catch em at Soundwave though...
And when the setlist was done, Matt Tuck was all "I don't wanna fuckin' go yet!" and then everyone started chanting Hand of Blood and they played it and all was well in the universe.
Aout Soundwave: Yeah, Matt Tuck told us at the end of his show. I didn't even know till he said "I'll see you fuckers at Soundwave!"

A Perfect Circle would be my first proper concert, but I suppose I'd have to count Finger Eleven. They did a free outdoor show near our city hall, as I am from their hometown. They may have still been called the Rainbow Butt Monkeys at the time too, can't remember.

My first was pretty late on in life really but it was a good'n. I was 18, just finished school and the day after my final exam the Foo Fighters were playing in Wellington. Getting a ticket was a fucking task as scalpers had taken 'em all. I ended up getting a pretty nose-bleed-y ticket, but at least I was there and they put on a mean show. Just wish I was down on the floor though.

I was dragged to many country concerts as a child. The horror, the horror...!

My first ACTUAL concert was a setlist of some indie bands, both local and national, headlined by We Shot The Moon, who put on a stellar show and really rocked that tiny stage.

I still am under the impression that The Airborne Toxic Event put on my favorite concert, as they were bloody amazing live. And performed my favorite song for their encore. :D

First concert was Elton John way back in I think 97 though I can't really be sure of the year, been a while and I don't pay attention to concert dates past when they happen.

I can't remember which came first, but it was either this shitty indie/punk band in a basement somewhere.

Or it was Elton John. Beat that.
Thing is, when I actually saw him, I wasn't really a big fan, it was only relatively recently that I got one of his albums.
