I think my first pre order was Pokemon Red from Electronics Boutique which came with a free Gameboy pouch. I was easily satisfied back then. Don't think I've pre ordered anything since.

I've never pre-orderd a game in my life.

I think pre-ordering is only necessary in countries like America or Japan where there are still actual lines infront of gameshops. I don't think I've ever seen a line infront of a gameshop in Holland.

Eh, it's easy though. Just pre-order a game online and wait until it arrives. It doesn't help either that I live in the ass-end of nowhere (if you've ever heard of Waardenburg; I salute you) where the nearest gameshop is about half an hour away. And as games usually arrive on work days that means I can't actually gét them. Not to mention the fact that games are often cheaper online.

im pritty sure it was a gamecube with supersmash brothers melee when i got it my eyes had to ajust to the graphics i played that game for i can remember 2 years without regret one of the best games ever made
