I remember my first experience with writing in forums because I wrote a wall of text and immediately got yelled out by pretty much everyone. I had no clue that people hated wall's of text so much and felt really bad about myself for a few days because everyone hated me so much.

I didn't write on the forums for the next couple of days until I got over my newbie forum trauma.

So everyone, do you remember your first experience on forums? (not on the escapist but in general)

I started out in 4chan, after a few years there I realized I needed a change, so I came here and made myself at home...

This is my home now...

With Forums in general?

My first forum was the best forum ever, oblivionsource.com, may it forever rest in peace.

It was a smaller community, and we were like a family.

My first forum were the Nsider forums.

Ah those were the days.

When they closed down, my friend showed me ZP, and I have been here ever since.

I feel old now... I started forum surfing back in the BBS days. First web forum I found and spend a real amount of time at was probably over at gamefaqs.com. Don't go there much now a days as the forums are pretty poor user wise, especially with the Question and Answer feature removing most actual game advice/info from the discussion boards.

My first post? No, it was close to 17-18 years ago already, but I do remember that it was much easier to communicate with many people that way than it was in large chat rooms. Also, the forums were pretty bland.

4Chan. It was the forum equivalent to being born in Mogadishu.

My first day, I was introduced to the wondrous thing we call "Lotus".

The first experience I had with forums was on a porn site (which shall not be named). Believe it or not, I actually made a niche for myself there about 8-10 months later by doing slightly comical artistic reviews for porn. When I say "artistic reviews", I mean that I actually judged porn only from artistic standpoints.

My first experience with forums was on the escapist. I don't think I would like any others.

Dealing with forums was from Ultimate-guitar.com. I hate the mods, very unprofessional. Howver posting was for a couple of web games, Dead Awaken and i think the other one was quartermile i think.

I'm not sure that can be put any more perfect.

My first forum was a local LAN shopped I worked at forums. Forums remained largely pointless to me for many many years.

I used to post a bit at Gamespot...or Gamefaqs...same diff. I'll still post there if I need to feed my inner troll, but reading posts there usually just irritates me. Escapist has been my internet home since I joined.

First forum I posted on was the now deceased doubleminor.net. It was all about NHL mods, and was good fun.

My first experience was on the old BBS - can't remember what it was called though :< it had a cool little C++ text game above it, and chatting below
Then it was Neopets (oh yea lol can't believe im admitting it) something around 13 years ago, back when it was only a couple thousand people tops... and not much else to do but yap with each other - it was really cool seeing it grow over the next 3 years that site exploded!
Next was gogaia.com... which later became gaiaonline and is about 100 times the size it was when I joined a decade ago lol
