Gameboy advance. Yeah, I was pretty poor so I've never had a NES, SNES or Playstation during my early childhood.

Mine was a ColecoVision [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ColecoVision].

Not exactly the most recent piece of hardware, but it was fun at the time!! :)
I got one of those down the line from my uncle. It had a weird, backwards staged Donkey Kong, iirc. I also Circus, which was pretty k-rad.

The Nes, and Mario 3. Ahhh, good times, man. Mario wasn't a filthy whore, and times were simple.

The very first game machine I ever played with was a Windows 3.1 pc, but the first one I actually owned was a PlayStation 1.

The Nintendo 64, I can barely remember it but I know that I had a great time with that thing, too bad it doesn't work anymore.

Haha, me too! The Amstrad was bought used of a friend of my brother. I was very young at the time and only occationally played on it, since I didn't know the advanced commands to type in to play a game, and I didn't understand English well at the time. Played great games such as "Thundercats" and a game called "Chuckie 2"(?) and a sweet ninja game called "Saboteur". Only two colors on the monitor: green and dark-green :p
Later came the Nintendo Entertainment System. "Super Mario Bros." , "Rush 'n Attack" and "Double Dragon 2" were awesome. After the NES period, I sold it and used the money to buy a brand new "SNES" with "Street Fighter 2: Champion Edition"(?), probably one of the games I have spent the most time with. I still know every super move of all the characters.

I was actually looking for a NES to buy and use here in York. I live(for the moment) in York, England, and every Saturday there is a gamer that sells retro gameware at the market. He didn't have a spare NES though.

Retro games are coming back..

Pc (first game was Doom 2, when I was 4. My parents did themselves proud that day), then N64 (when I was 7, first game Goldeneye. My Parents outdid themselves again), then finally game boy colour.

My first console was a SNES and my first games were F1 racing, and flying WW2 airplanes.

The first PC I had was a Windows 3.1 based computer with Tetris, Wolfenstein and Doom.

After that it was a Game Boy Colour. I lent it to my friend and he bloody lost it, along with all of my games.
Did you hunt him down and kill him?

Mine was a lovely PS1. Followed by an even more lovely Gameboy Pocket.

The good old fashioned breeze-block that is the original Game Boy. I've still got it around somewhere *goes searching for good times*

SNES.

Just pure awesome.
Yup yup!
Super Mario World was amazing.
I recently got hold of a SNES to reply it.
Too easy looking back at it, but fun nonetheless.

8-bit Nintendo. I'm pretty sure that I played on my brother's computer before that, but the nintendo was the first console that I could call my own.
