I worked during Year 12 (what a great idea for someone who stresses out) for about.. 3, 4 weeks? It was at an art supply store. I worked for, what I at first though, was a nice, albeit slightly creepy, German man, who was quite a lot bit taller than me and quite imposing.
I should have clued on that something was a bit weird, when he pretty much told me to go cut paper and that was it. When I finished, I always had to go ask him what to do, which he usually seemed to be fine with. He was very friendly and grateful I was doing what he asked.
However, in the 3rd (or 4th? Cannot remember), he was in a particularly pissy mood because I couldn't work the day before because of a migraine. This was the only day I missed.
So, in front of customers, he verbally abused me and reduced me to tears, then after I told him I couldn't do it (read: put up with his bullshit, but I was too scared and tearful to say that) anymore, he sighed dramatically and told me to go on my way.
.. Shitty first job experience, which I spent most of last year recovering from, rantrantrant.
tl;dr: Worked at an art supply store, got verbally abused by a two-faced asshole of a boss. It sucked.
