I worked during Year 12 (what a great idea for someone who stresses out) for about.. 3, 4 weeks? It was at an art supply store. I worked for, what I at first though, was a nice, albeit slightly creepy, German man, who was quite a lot bit taller than me and quite imposing.
I should have clued on that something was a bit weird, when he pretty much told me to go cut paper and that was it. When I finished, I always had to go ask him what to do, which he usually seemed to be fine with. He was very friendly and grateful I was doing what he asked.

However, in the 3rd (or 4th? Cannot remember), he was in a particularly pissy mood because I couldn't work the day before because of a migraine. This was the only day I missed.
So, in front of customers, he verbally abused me and reduced me to tears, then after I told him I couldn't do it (read: put up with his bullshit, but I was too scared and tearful to say that) anymore, he sighed dramatically and told me to go on my way.

.. Shitty first job experience, which I spent most of last year recovering from, rantrantrant.

tl;dr: Worked at an art supply store, got verbally abused by a two-faced asshole of a boss. It sucked.

My first job was working at a deli. Every day I didn't end my life by putting my face in a meat slicer was a small triumph.

My first job was at KFC, truly a disguisting place. I lasted about nine months then got a better offer at a local resturant (I've now been there about 5 years part time, and it has changed ownership). The resturant is a billion times better, and much more conveniant to work around school/uni. I currently have a few other jobs as well, turns out I'm addicted to money (not spending it, just having it).

I'm 14 so I'm hoping to get a job soon, but in this economy I don't think it'll be likely.

I'm only 14 so unless you count babysitting and raking the yard, no jobs yet. Although babysitting a 3 year old is torture. Goes something like this.
"Why?" I don't know why. "Why?" Because I don't "Why?" Because I'm not that smart. "Why?" Because I haven't learned that yet. "Why?" SHUT UP!!!

Anyway, as I get older I really want to get a job as a waiter. Has always been very appealing to me.

I worked as a grocery clerk at Vons (a Safeway company). I really hated it, because I was very very immature back then, looking back.
