Here is me pointing out a very dull bug in Super Mario 64, and a lovely arse kiss hello to the forum.

STRANGEST BUGS
"I remember doing a 100% run through Super Mario 64, and getting each star in order. It was very satisfying, up until the point where I reached Dire Dire Docks and attempted the 'Pole Jumping For Red Coins' star.

When I arrived at the correct area, the moving poles above the water simply were not there, and didn't reappear no matter what I tried; restarts, seeing if they were invisible, etc.

Seeing as there was no other way of getting these red coins my 100% run through became impossible, leaving me with about 50 stars and no reason to continue. Bugger.

Also, hello. I'm Rob, I'm 23, I'm English, I used to be a games tester for EA, I'm a big Nintendo fan but mostly seem to only play COD4 or GTAIV, and I'm stoked to finally find a gaming forum filled with articulate, open minded gamers rather than the screaming fanboy turds you usually find. Marvelous.

I wonder which is funnier; Ultrajoe's conceit, or the Logician's apologetic and slightly insecure manner...

No one hates you.
I'd say Logician's manner, simply because I'm a bastard.

And now for something completely different: Easykill, how come you don't post so often anymore? If you do, then where, since I haven't really seen you.
Eh, my posting habits are a bit weird, sometimes I post at everything, other times nothing. Also, I was away for a week and couldn't really access the internet.

My first post was a big ol' steaming heap of comic book recommendations. I'll skip the manga but...

Fantastic comics I'm reading right now:

--"Ex Machina". What if a not-so-superhero became mayor of New York? Brian Vaughn is made entirely of awesome.
--"Desolation Jones." How much drugs has Warren Ellis taken, anyway? Los Angeles is an open prison for ex-super spies. Desolation Jones is one of them who ends up being a sort of private investigator for the rest of them.
--"Powers" by Brian Michael Bendis. Cops + Superheros is like Chocolate + Peanut Butter, and like snack size Reese's, I will take as many of these as anyone is willing to give me. Bendis writes the best dialogue in comics today. Fact.

Stuff I'm not reading now because it's all wrapped up:
--"The Invisibles". However much drugs Warren Ellis has done, it is nothing compared to Grant Morrison, who could just be famous as the weirdest bastard to ever write mainstream comics, except that he's super talented, so he's the weirdest bastard to ever write really good comics, and with Alan Moore and Warren Ellis as competition, that's saying something.
--"Kabuki" by David Mack. This isn't technically wrapped up, but Mack is such a lazy S.O.B that there's maybe an issue every 6-8 months, when his publisher send a couple thugs over to threaten to kneecap him if he doesn't get his ass back to the drawing table. Get the trade paperback collections, because even though Mack is a total wanker, his art and writing are astonishing, completely beyond anything else you've ever seen in comics.
--"Batman: Arkham Asylum" - written by Grant Morrison (Batman always attracts the freaky writers) and painted (not drawn) by Dave McKean, who is the cover artist for the Sandman series, and probably the only artist who jaw-drops me even harder than David Mack.

I personally feel that the media's response to video games is like a medieval peasant's response to a computer. It's something they don't understand and find intimidating, and with the constant beeping, it could only have been spawned from hell.
Written in response to a thread titled "The War On The War On Videogames." It's a trip down memory frackin' lane.

I've entirely remained the same overall on all of my opinions, regret nothing, and still feel I've got a lot to learn about these forums. The forums here aren't all that impressive, and I'm not entirely sure what coding is used (never tried, there isn't a posting lay out, nothing). Truthfully, the only reason I came to this site was because of Yahtzee. I guess it helps him to have a youtube account, but still, if they'd want to get more traffic, I think he should at least be able to release like, perhaps maybe one video a month or so on youtube that's recent to get the attention of more people.

But I digress. I'd take back nothing. Maybe in time if I become more active here that will change.

My first post on these forums was in the thread named "Games you wonder if anyone else has played:" and my entry was as shown below:

"One of my all time favourite point-and-click adventure games is Neverhood, anyone else played it?, its really fun and its unique in the fact that Everything is made in clay and shot with Stop-Motion techniques. :)"

I'd kill Roman Bellic. Mainly because he always rang me up in the middle of everything. He was a crap addition to the game and he had you doing crappy mission for the beginning of the game. I'd also probably kill the Adoring fan from Oblivion and Troy from Saints Row(This will probably happen in Saints Row 2 anyway though).
I'm such a newb, my first post was eleven days ago.
