You guys don't know how good you have it. ;)

Actually, I take that back. When I was first gaming, there was nary such a thing as a clone. There were a few, like attempts to bring popular arcade games (which we had to go to a video arcade [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Video_arcade] - far different beasts than they are today - to play) to home computers. However, it's not like these days, where there's so many clones on the market that you take it as normal.

bah.

Children.

Try Pong on the Atari 2600 in the first year the console was released.

I have fond memories of finding the easter egg (aka the secret area) in Adventure and the groovy music in Pitfall II. And Q-bert...
Want me to help you across the street old man?

Ha ha, just kidding!
You're amusing all gamers are guys. :)
Well its a pretty safe bet he/she/it is a guy, since a majority of gamers are.
Oh I know that for a fact being a vast minority in the gaming community, Im just saying. There are some... and I really mean some, well more like a few, chick gamers. Ok maybe like 1 per 20 guy gamers. *shrugs*

Well boys, I AM a girl. Thank you very much!!
I'm not a boy. I have boobs for gods sake. I'm a chick. XD

I've been gaming before I could walk.

Probably the earliest memory I have was holding a toy space shuttle and playing a 3DO FPS with my father. The enemies warped and disappeared when he shot them, and he told me the gun turned them into lollipops.

Good times...

Wow, this thread is making me feel old. When I was three, my parents gave me an Atari 2600. I still remember being able to buy new games for it at Child World, a now-dead Toys R Us competitor. I can't remember what my very first game was, but Pong, Donkey Kong, Checkers, and Combat were all early favorites.

Was the Commodore 64, a game where you were a ball, moving along coloured block road, and you had to dodge the holes.

No idea what it was called!
