Sonic 2 for the Megadrive. Hell yea! Back when he was good. I hope Project Needlemouse doesn't make Sonic more deformed than he already is.

I had to evolve a Caterpie to a Metapod to a Butterfree just to get past Brock.

My first game was Super Mario Bros for the NES. That, or maybe it was the Barbie game for the NES. Both were fun, because who doesn't enjoy stepping on turtles or throwing diamonds at a giant ice cream sundae?

I didn't read the entire thread, but here's my first one, I think it was Asteroid at the house of a friend of my dad. Not sure if it's called asteroid, you control a little space ship and shoot at things coming at you from the top of the screen, I was really young don't remember it well. First I owned though was either Super Mario Bros./Duck hunt 2 in one cartridge on the NES, or Tetris on the game boy... probably the the NES

as for my first pokemon game, it was yellow, so the choice between squirtle and charmander never really occured

I grinded Pikachu to almost level 30 and killed Onix with Quick Attack. It was a bit hard with Charmander too, though. Fire isn't that effective against rocks.

I actually remember playing Prince of persia (the first one on PC)... I even remember my dad buying a new computer and asking specifically if it could run the game. I had already played games before that one but PoP was the one that made me turn into a gamer, I was 6 years old back then... god I'm old!

Pokemon Red. I wuvved my Squirtle...
Heresy! We must all bow down to the cuteness that is Charmander.
Squirrels>Lizards>Weird leafy things
Squirtle is a turtle...

He's mainly squirrel to me. T^T

I thought the Squir- part of his name was a play on words to imply that he was a turtle that squirts water...

And I also figured that his tail was just a representation of like waves or something.
Huh...that makes sense...

My very first games were Reader Rabbit and Mother Goose games. Mother Goose was made by Sierra... It was pretty fun. Back then.

My parents bought me a Gameboy Pocket a loooong time ago (1995ish?) with Super Mario Land, Super Mario Land 3: Wario Land, and I think a Terminater game.

I sucked at those games... Didn't play it much till my brain developed more. But I used to watch my dad play. What cut it more for me was Lego.

And it was Lego that got me into gaming. Lego Island and Lego Rock Raiders. Two frakking awesome games. I wish I still had them.
