Has to be Underoath - Down, Set, Go. It was extremely hard to like this sort of music to start off with but it grew on me big time, not because I forced it to either.

Since then I've been entirely addicted to the Post-Hardcore genre for years.

10,000 Fist's (song)and Sons of Plunder by Disturbed started my love for rock, punk, metal and everything inbetween, its also the reason Disturbed is still one of my favourite bands.

Is Master of puppets by metallica off their S&M CD. if I never listened to that song I'd still be stuck listening to yellowcard and lady gaga. *shivers*

I think it was "Ashes to Ashes" by Blind Guardian or "Wolf" by Iced Earth back in 3rd grade and I've been into metal ever since with those two bands still being favorites.

I guess I've always listened to grunge but it all started with "Smells like teen spirit" By Nirvana, but I also have to admit that my musical taste are broad enough to encompass most of music with Rap being the notable exception. I do have a certain fondness for Afro-Man though.

I've had two.

One at 12, when I discovered something amazing:

And then again, at age 14, when I discovered this:

Nowadays I mainly listen to stoner rock. Yeah, big surprise there.

Definitely Radiohead's "House of Cards". I hated it when I first listened to it, but I thought it was interesting nonetheless, so I checked out some of Radiohead's other music.

Then it became my favourite song. Go figure.

Edit:

I can't really say what my first rock song was that really got me into the whole genre. I do however remember the song that really got me into piano as well as back into enjoying video game music.

*MELT* I'm learning that right now, although it was Moonsong that got me hooked on Verdegrand which led me to Zohar's Corridors of Time arrangement. You get a cookie, sir.

This song, started my love of classic rock. I've let disco, folk, pretty much everything from the 60's to the 80's.

Metal I've only recently gotten into and I'm lovin' it. But not the screaming into the mic type making no actual words types. Uriah Heep, Saxon and my favorite metal band Sabaton. I've also picked up some metal from some musically adept Bronies.

Metal will never replace my rock, but theirs always room for good music.

The Mountain goats are by far my favorite band, in addition to being the gateway to tons of other music that I love.

This song was the first Rise Against song I had and it set my path down a new kind of music genre. Before I heard this I liked classic rock and Tupac. Rise Against got me into bands like Anti-Flag, Bad Religion, Last of The Believers, Pennywise, you get the drill.

There was never a single song for me. It was more an evolution of genre...ish. I started as a kid listening to whatever was popular, then things such as Breaking Benjamin, Linkin Park, Evanescence, thinking they were hardcore. Then there was System of a Down and Rage Against the Machine. Then there was this brief obsession with the classic rock (AC/DC, Guns N Roses, so on so forth). And then an even briefer, and weird, scene of rap I listened to. And I still do listen to some. And I also do still listen some of previous mentioned bands. Then I heard of Killswitch Engage from a mate, got All THat Remains from Saw 3, The Duskfall from The Darkness, so on so forth. So now I listen to a mixture of rap, melodic death metal, heavy metal, classic metal, hard rock, classical (Well, a few songs here and there), evil disco (Static-X!) and others I can;t think of right now.

So like I said...never was one song. Although you could argue that Chers Believe made me hate everything with Auto-Tune in it, irrelevant of how funny people say it was in Rebecca Blacks video.
