The fact that it takes LONGER to get me my burger in the dead of night with nobody around then at the 12:30 lunch rush.

I wish I was joking.
That's not uncommon. Late-night drivethru establishments don't pre-cook anything on the graveyard shift. They're making your stuff from patties that are straight out of the freezer, as opposed to a pre-thawed thrice-cooked reheat burger like the lunch crowd gets.
Those are the best ones...
But yeah. At night we've pretty much got everything shut down, so we have to make the late-burgers from scratch, instead of give you one that's been lying around for an hour or two.

5. Get those fucking salads off the menu. You're not fooling anyone. Putting healthy items on the menu that don't sell just to keep the Food Nazis off your ass symbolizes everything that's gone horribly wrong with America.
I order them. When my family gets McDonald's or something it's my only choice unless I feel like making myself a something at home. Some people actually eat healthy in this world.

And greasy, insalubrious food isn't what's "right" about America.
No, but walking into a burger bar and getting a salad is the equivalent of PETA killing animals, oh wait, erm, is the equivalent of an Amish kicking you when you're down.

You want a salad, go to a fucking salad bar.

My personal peeve is WHEN I ASK FOR A PLAIN BURGER I DO NOT MEAN I WANT KETCHUP, THAT NEGATES IS BEING PLAIN YOU STUPID FUCK!

1) Salads looking like they are made out of plastic
2) The difference to "real" food.
3) No matter how much you eat, you're getting hungry again in 1-2 hours.
4) My amazing ability to stand in a line where the employee will wander off just before i can make my order.

And fifth and worst: I don't like McDonalds, yet i come back again every time just because it's so convenient (Being close by, relatively fast, and knowing what you will get there)

1-- Taking too long...

an hour after the lunch rush or an hour before you are expecting the "School kid rush" it should not take you 20 minutes to get me a fucking whopper value meal..... At least I got a free BK shicken... Burger King here btw

2-- No Sauce

The only place that gives you the stuff for free is wendies... You either have to ask or pay for it at other places....

I say we burn down every one that isn't a Subway, BK or Wendy's

Give me some fucking ketchup. I don't know if it's idiocy, laziness, or a new corporate policy to cut corners, but unless I specifically ask for ketchup, I no longer get any in the bag for take-out or drive through.
Ha, you think that's bad? Where I live, McDonald's makes you pay seperately for the fucking ketchup! Not only are the packs stupidly small and hard to open, they are also insanely overpriced, so you often have to spend around $1 or more just to get enough to see you through a medium batch of fries. Their reasoning? People were "abusing" the pump dispensers. Yeah, because ketchup is apparently the new safran. Fuckers.

Other than that, I don't have any big problems with fast food.

By the way, what's the deal with "Hungry Jack's"? Is Burger King actually called that now or is it slang?

The fact that McDonalds puts gerkins in all its burgers yet nearly everyone i know throws them away? wouldn't they save money by making gerkins an option?

Also i hate that the woman at the drive through has a tash that would put most men to shame. It doesn't help thats she's worked in burger king (which closed down), KFC and McDonalds! Which means she seems to be at whatever food place i feel like visiting at the time. It just gross.

Oh and the fact the my local McDonalds is the only one that doesn't serve chocolate donuts yet every other one i've been to does. typical.

Other than the above i have no problems with fast food places.

I have to say the thing that bothers me most is how fast food establishments are used as a negative stereotype for America and the American lifestyle. Not that I like America or the American lifestyle, but I don't feel that it's appropriate.
Here here! :) I didn't really have anything to contribute, since I stay away from fast food like it was actually Fast Rat Poison. But the fact that cheap, easy food is one of those things that people over the pond think about when they think about America... rather, the overweight people that eat at those sort of places.

I'd like to belive that "fast food" was an idea spawned of trying to solve foods massive supply and demand problem. There's alot of demand, but not always enough supply. So cheap easy food was created. :) Ot turned out to be quick, and taste good with ketsup, and tada! Food supply meets demand. Side effects may include midnight "jonesings" and heart disease.

5. Being forced to eat there on group trips.
4. Finding nothing vaguely edible on the menu.
3. Lowering my standards to ease an aching stomach.
2. Discovering it's not worth while.
1. Toilet stop three hours later.

Yes! Management who ignore it when their staff are getting verbal abuse from idiot customers, grow a pair and deal with it, if you're a manager, you're supposed to take care of your staff. Even if they did make an error, they don't deserve to be sworn at (most of the time).

Also anyone who looks down on people working there, can go screw themselves, isn't it better that they're working hard, earning money, etc? Unless Daddy has a cushy job waiting for you, most people have to start out on the bottom rung, and its quite possible to take pride in your work whatever you do. (unless you work in advertising)

Again I'll risk the 'racist' card, with my local Pizza Hut too, they've got a staff of about half indian and half white, and yet whenever I call, they make sure that the indian guy with the heaviest, most incomprehensible accent is manning the phone. Really I don't care if he's from india, luxembourg, Australia or 2 doors down from me, if I can't understand him, and more importantly, if he can't understand the local accent, put him on cooking, cleaning, anything but phones. Sure he can work there, he can work anywhere, but surely, from a customer service POV, would you not want clear, understandable speech from the guy on the phones? Its got to the point now where I just order online, so as not to have to repeat my order a dozen times.

Over in the UK, I kinda wish they'd take on the 'Wendys' approach of the ONE Wendy's I found in London, where you order a burger, then order what you want on it from a list, I'm personally happy to wait an extra 2 minutes, if it means I can get it with no onions lettuce or mayo, and not feel like an ass for making them make me a 'special' order.

I think there's a space in the market for somewhere that doesn't put so much emphasis on speed, and lets you choose your own burger, but then BK and McD's are biggest, so they must be right? yeah? *cough*

Oh and places that charge like 20p for a damn ketchup after you've just spent £5 on a meal. It's not even so much the cost, its the fact that I had to go back and ask for one, get charged 20p, and go thru a whole extra transaction to get some.

Let's quit the salads too, it's not fooling anyone that McD's 'cares' and most of the salads are less healthy than a big mac, in terms of fat and salt, so why not have something nice instead, hell, have two desserts if you're a veggie.

I work at McDonalds, and the most annoying thing ever is when people don't make it clear enough what they want, if they're annoyingly picky. We're given our pre-sets, of what we make. And in some places, plain burger means just ketchup, therefor, if you weren't so stupid, you'd learn from experience and tell them at the till NO KETCHUP. It's NOT the cashiers fault what happens, and I hate people, with a passion, who have a go at cashiers for the kitchen workers mistakes. We're all human, just trying to earn a fucking living. Lay off man.

Yeah, I've learned to clearly state'Could I get that plain, with cheese and ketchup, please?'

I find politeness combined with information works much better that 'And hey, dummy! plain, ya hear me?'

It is one of my big annoyances in life the way some people treat anyone behind a counter, and I feel life would be much improved if the final month of school gave way to a month of work in either a store or restaurant, dealing with the public, as I don't think you'd ever forget what it was like on the other side of the counter. I'm personally never rude to anyone in a store, if I really feel I've been badly treated, its letters to head office. That works for good service too, despite most of us thinking we just work for cash, its great to hear that you helped someone enough to make them put pen to paper.

"Is that a number 2 or a letter 2?" i.e. some ppl should just stick to other work, and not be the 'face guy' of your establishment.

Carnival games at the counter. Put a camera there so I can take a picture so I don't have to vainly attempt to get someone's attention before the coin falls off the little stand. If the highlight of your day is pretending you can't see me do my monkey dance, just remove the damn thing altogether.

The fact that fast food will pay for research to figure out which color schemes will drive you from the dining area fastest, but won't pay more than minimum wage. Honestly, shelling out burgers that have a cost markup more than the hourly wage of the the people making them wouldn't make me care if I got your order right.

My number one pet peeve, and the reason I don't eat fast food any more (except for Subway), is that they have no vegetarian food. Seriously, is it that hard to make something that's vegetarian which isn't just taking out the meat patty.

I'm pretty sure Oporto has a veggie burger, but it was only released recently.
