My process is a bit weird, because I scrub 3 our of every 4 replies I intend to make for various reasons.

Read Thread Title (turning point is here on to post or not)
See Thread (Interest has been achieved)
Read Thread (Interest must be maintained or turned into Intrigue)
Read Several Replies (If my point of view was already stated, move on, else begin typing reply)
Typing Reply (20-40% chance of Scrub Reply if point cannot be achieved in words, 60-80% chance of Scrub Reply if issue is too controversial and Neutrality cannot be achieved)
Scrub Reply
Leave Thread
Do Other Stuff
Return to Thread
Read More Replies
Craft Reply (10-15% chance of Scrub Reply on the basis of confusion)
Craft Reply based on OP statement or Links in post (no matter 'the truth' or 'actuality' based on 'science or evidence' my reply is based souly on the OP and the links therein)
1-5% chance of being quoted, if quote is arguementative, restate or clarify my position.
Maintain Neutrality

Don't post often. When I do most of the time I delete said post as I don't want a long drawn out posting-marathon about it.

1- Enter Forum
2- Check to see if there are any fun topics and weigh the interest I have in the topic versus the number of comments that have already been made on the topic
3- Enter thread
4- Read OP
5- Read all the posts so far
6- See if there is a funny joke I can make, then write that in post box
7- See if there is a funny or insightful reply I can make to one person, then quote them
8- Maybe address OP if I still give a fuck
9- Realize I have yet to embed something, and that goes against my code of honor (as long as the discussion isn't too serious)
10- Insert only mildly relevant image

Surprise! I posted a picture of adorable puppies! Well, technically it's just one puppy, but you get the picture (that was a pun).

I usually start typing, realise I don't really care all that much, then delete and move on. If I do reply, I usual flop out my piss poor response then scurry away. I rarely even read quote notifications because by the time they comes up I've long since stopped caring about the subject and don't really want to be brought back in.
