Sometimes, but usually only when I'm in the mood to do some channing at four in the morning and the less-popular boards slow down to a standstill from the lack of users. Well, that, and also for when I'm not feeling very particular about my porn. /b/ was my introduction to 4chan (as I imagine it was for most) and I stayed there for two or three years, but after a while, even pure chaos starts to look the same, so the appeal of themed boards eventually clicked with me. It's nice to have a general subject (even if it is uncommonly adhered to) and a front page that you can refresh without having literally every single thread replaced by completely different ones; /fit/ in particular has been a favorite for the last few months because health has become a very large focus of my life, and there's a fair amount of useful information to be found in between the troll posts and general faggotry that afflicts all of 4chan... plus, greentext fatty-raeg threads. I love how each one has its own sort of subculture, and have been meaning to branch out to others once I'm willing to ingrain myself in a new sort of madness.SmashLovesTitanQuest said:Just out of curiosity, do you still visit /b/?
I guess the only thing that compelled me to stay at /b/ for as long as I did was a combination of instant gratification and a sense that I was going to discover something new every time I went on... but then the magic wore off after seeing the same reposts of reposts of reposts of reposts for years on end (I've seen tons of image-limit YLYL threads that could have come entirely from my old laptop's hard-drive). I completely agree that it was always shit, but for a while, it was novel and entertaining shit; now that it's run out of ways to surprise me, it's just the regular kind of shit. I'm sure it's still churning out its fair share of brilliant OC, but my tolerance for the flood of shit surrounding it has worn down my ability to patiently seek it out.
