Game of the decade: MGS4

Game of the year: Assassin's Creed II

If I name all my games for each year, I'll piss off someone.

Dragon Age for 2009, I mean even the console versions are great in my opinion but of course its all about the PC!

As for decade, I'm on the fence... a few in fact. Age of Empires II, Half Life 2, Oblivion, San Andreas, Metroid Prime...

...choice sucks.

Fanboy time: Mass Effect is shit
While I can't argue that Mass Effect has weak combat, I can't agree with you about the writing.
Did you miss the footnote? Yeah, it's jolly good, but pales in comparison to previous BioWare efforts. Or maybe I'm just being overly nostalgic, I spent most of the first half of this decade on BG2 and KotOR.
I read the footnote, but I think Mass Effect is just different. It definitely isn't your usual Bioware fare for sure. I think Mass Effect 2 is going to be much better... especially considering that they don't have to establish quite as much this time around.

Well, this should help you... Age of Empires II was released in 1999.

Ah dam it, you're right. Thought it was 2000 for a moment then. That was the expansion.

Best Video Game 2000 - 2009 : Morrowind
For those of you who thought oblivion was better (not to say it wasn't a good game, but in comparison to Morrowind), you are obviously pansies who enjoy easy gaming. Morrowind's plot was more in depth, it was more challenging, and I still play it instead of the new games that are supposedly "better".

Best Video Game of 2009 : Batman batman arkham asylum
Overall, this year didn't provide many worthwhile games in my book. Yeah you could argue about MW2 or L4D2, but I just didn't give a fuck...

I am going to say Metroid Prime for 'Game of the Decade'. I say this because it was the re-invention of a franchise that was absent from one console generation. Metroid Prime did for FPS what Zelda: Ocarina of Time did for sword play.

Game of the decade: GTA San Andreas - Spent a lot of time landing Lear jets in random places in that game. Plus it was batshit crazy, which is always a plus!

Game of the Year: Dragon Age - Deep, involving and batshit crazy in a 'makes sense' kind of way.

Why do people post 'Use the searchbar' without actually contributing? Never got that...
