Your Game of the Year for 2011?

To me it got to be Xenoblade Chronicles, it got to be one of the best JRPG I have ever played (althought I don't play that many since I don't exactly like JRPG to begin with).

Catherine. Great, challenging gameplay and a fun story with cool characters. I'm very optimistic about this year.

I am actually just now finishing my second play through after putting it down for several months. I loved it to death, but my standards for GoTY include high replay-ability and unfortunately I just didn't have the drive to play through the game again to get the different endings and stuff.

Like a mainstream zombie I'll have to throw my hat in for Skyrim >.>

Bastion, definitely.

It was awesome and came out of nowhere for me.

It's either Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Bastion or Dark Souls for me. The former two had excellent storytelling and were overall fun to play, with Dark Souls being a manly game for mans. Incidentally also with one of the best combat systems ever.

Runner ups were Skyrim, Portal 2, Frozen Synapse and Space Marine, all games I had a lot of fun with. Special mention to Space Marine for being one of the best ways I know of to blow off steam.

My game of the year is always the last one I played. Currently it's Dead Island.
Have had tons of fun with the game and it's one of the few I've started over right after completing and still having a blast.
Skyrim and Infamous 2 are also up there on the list.

Well it used to be Skyward Sword. But then I played Dark Souls which was a really fun and challenging game with a surprisingly interesting lore.

Skyward Sword, Portal 2, and Skyrim follow after it.

It was a 2010 release in japan but a 2011 release in NA. That still counts... right? :<
