During my early morning contemplation[sub](on the can)[/sub], I eventually came to realise that with my age and when I began gaming "seriously", I have officially been playing videogames for half of my whole life.

In celebration of this petty achievement, I have decided to create a thread celebrating petty achievements.
So tell me, Escapists; What recent minor things have you done related to gaming that you are particularly proud of?

I'll start off. In chronological order:
Bronze Jubilee - Gaming for ten years. Congrats! Now get a life.

Dropped Cold Anivia - Nipped a League of Legends habit in the bud, despite living in a household full of LoL addicts. (Was fun but I didn't want it eating my time)

Super Smash Baller - Beating out tourney obsessed(not actual players) Brawl players despite only having played Melee and 64 before. With a Jigglypuff. Tiers are for Queers!

Half life - Spent half your time on earth so far playing videogames. No regrets.

Masochist - Beat Godhand and Devil May Cry 3 one after the other on normal. Wait, normal? Scrub.

Vvardenfell Citizenship - Still playing Morrowind after 10 years. Yet still call you outlander.

Jolly Cooperation - Overcame my fear of online play (and shitty internet) for the first time in a year to Co-op in Dark Souls 2. And Succeed. Praise the sun!

This is the sort of thread that I think'd be very fun to get going, but its difficult to think about anything...

Mr Average - Got exactly a 50% win/lose ratio on Super Street Fighter 4 on-line. Occasionally won three or four back to back games.
Old Flame - Have been using Chun-Li as my main for over twenty years (True I didn't play any Street Fighter for at least ten of those years but still).
Political Correctness Police - Headshotted a player seconds after they issued a homophobic slur.

That's all I've got for the moment.

My most recent milestone would be my guild and I getting a kill on 25 man Heroic Paragons of the Klaxxi. This boss was as difficult as it was frustrating.


That's actually he video from my guild's kill, check the player frames and you'll see my name "Vanq" in there, middle row, second column. We're currently working on Heroic Garrosh Hellscream and I can't wait to get him down. I'm hoping that we get the kill in the next 1-2 weeks.

Other than that, I got the Seriously achievement in Gears of War back in the day and also saved all 299 Mudokons in Abe's Exodus without an internet guide when I was about 13. I didn't have internet yet and didn't know guides were a thing. I figured that out entirely on my own. Only in hindsight do I see how ridiculous that is.

Hero of Dunwall - Completed Dishonored for the first time, having killed nobody and with low chaos (just did this today)

Finally Fantastic - Beaten half of the main-line Final Fantasy titles (2, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9 & 10)

Fantasy's Fantasy - Played through multiple Final Fantasy spin-offs (Theatrhythm, Adventure, Mystic Quest)

Grand Theft Lunacy - Played through more GTA clones than GTA itself

Living in the Past - Have at least 3 retro consoles still connected to your TV (NES, SNES, N64, PS2, Dreamcast, Gamecube)

Reganomics! - Have an NES collection of more than 30 cartridges

Virtual Me - Spent over 20 years playing video games

Ace Pokemon Trainer - Have played every main Pokemon title from Green/Red to X/Y

International Player - Have imported multiple games

Connoisseur - Owner and, user of over 10 different consoles.

Well, I wouldn't say any of these are really recent, but hey.

"Where'd The Time Go?" - Getting over 50% of the achievements in World of Warcraft
(I've still got 57%, apparently, even though I cancelled my account about four months ago and hadn't regularly played for close to eight or nine months before that. I'm most proud of getting the "Insane in the Membrane" achievement, though unfortunately I couldn't manage to get it before Blizzard removed the Shen'dralar faction.)

"What, Did You Grow Up With Them?" - Played video games for twenty+ years

"You're Everything Wrong With Gaming circa 2012" - Enjoyed Mass Effect 3 and Diablo III

"Now You're Just Taking The Piss" - Didn't enjoy The Last of Us

"Cel-Shading Is (Not Just) For Kiddies" - Only Zelda ever beat is The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker

"The Patriots" - Metal Gear!?!?!?

"Livin' In The City" - Still a fan of Sonic the Hedgehog (Alternative names "Why Are His Eyes Green!?!", "It's Robotnik, Dammit!", and "It's No Use!")

"Kleiman" - Bought two or more games developed by Klei Entertainment

"I Hate To Love You And Love To Hate You" - Been a fan of Square Enix

"I'm The G*****n Batman" - 100%'d Batman: Arkham Asylum, Batman: Arkham City, and Batman: Arkham Origins

"Some Kind Of Nerd" - Bought first card game since reaching adulthood (Android: Netrunner - Okay, that one's recent)

Born to play: Picked up a controller and haven't put it down for eighteen years. (I'm 21, started at 3)

Gunplay Gangbuster: Played so many FPS games I can headshot no problem with analogue sticks.

Pokemon Master: Started with Blue and still going strong.

The Collector: Has at least ten collectors editions.

Loyalty Lost: Lose your attachment to your favorite of the Big 3.

Vamped Up: Role-Played/made your characters look like a vampire in ten different games. (if you count Mass Effect 2 and 3 as seperate)

Vita and Minerals: Collect ten platinum trophies.

Can't stop won't stop: Beat a game at least five times. (Bioshock and RE4)

"Puff the Magic Dragon" - Spyro the Dragon was the first game you've ever beaten! Congratulations!

"Were it So Easy..." -Beaten Halo 3 on Legendary

"Oh my god! Metal GEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAARRRRRRRRR!" -Beaten all four of the MGS games.

"Team ICO Fanatic" - Bought all of the games made by Team ICO! (Like that's actually hard in the slightest)

"Still Waiting on The Last Guardian" - Beat Shadow of the Colossus ten times!

"Never Keep a Lady Waiting" - Stop in the middle of Metroid Prime for over five months then come back and beat it!

"That's $60 I'm Never Getting Back" - Stomach your way through at least one story arc in Sonic 06!

"Raw Meat" - Beat the final boss in Super Meat Boy in the Dark World without breaking a controller!"

"You're such an Emo" - Play through two JRPG's who's themes both involve death. (In this case Final Fantasy IX and Persona 3 FES)

"Team ICO Fanatic" - Bought all of the games made by Team ICO! (Like that's actually hard in the slightest)

Why not something like "Shadow of the Last/ICO Guardian"?

I mean, if you're going to be punny, you should go all-in.

"OMG No-one Cares" - Got World Explorer Achievement in WoW at level 74, 3 levels before I should have been able to get to some of the "flight only" zones.

"You're still playing that?" - Earthbound, Legend of Mana, and Chrono Trigger still getting lots of play time!

"More AAA... hurray?" - Don't touch a AAA game in over two years

"Grown out of it" - Be a fan of Kingdom hearts 1 at release, despise the series when Kingdom hearts 3 is announced.
Alternative title: "13 years is just too long"

"All good things have to end" - Realize your favourite gaming franchises will not produce any good games anymore(InFamous)

"Soul starved Samurai" - Defeat all bosses in Dark Souls without leveling past SL 9 or using any magic.
Alternative title: "As if it wasn't hard enough..."

"No pain, no gain" - Practice any fighting game so long that your fingers start to hurt

"Tier Whore" - Switch your main to an S Tier character(Kirby -> Metaknight)

"So you think you're hot SSBMstuff?" - Finish a Spyro speedrun

"Resident Evil 4 was Better" - Beat Resident Evil 5.

"Now Do it Again on the PS3" - 100%'d a game on the PS2 but didn't get no Trophy for it.

"Sucker Born Every Minute" - Threw a fight on the S.S. Anne so you could return later to the docks once you got HM03/Surf and swim over to that conspicuous truck that, despite what everybody else assured you, did not in fact house a Mew.

In the Snow, Uphill, Both Ways, Backwards - Survived gaming with CGA graphics and internal PC speakers

DJ Interloper - Loaded up my brother's Xbox playlists with songs that would embarrass him at Tony Hawk parties
