What is your personal arch nemesis or enemy in gaming?

Mine is a game itself: Super Mario Bros. God. Damn. I've beaten every Mario game I've ever played, I even finished Lost Levels. But not matter how hard I try, I can't finish the first game. Never had. And possibly never will.

So who is your nemesis in gaming? Be it a character, game, mechanic, console, or fellow gamer.

Two actually.

The first is a single character, Dracula. No matter how many times I fight that guy in a shit load of games he always manages to kill me the first few times, ALWAYS (except in Symphony of the Night.) Whenever I fight him in a game I haven't played finished yet I always say an out loud greeting to him before getting my ass kicked the first time. His appearance in I wanna be The Guy only increased this.

My second gaming nemesis is an object, spikes. No matter where I go, no matter what game I play, spikes are there in some shape or form. Sometimes they will be used as weapons, sometimes they will lie at the bottom of a screen in Megaman just waiting for me to fall, or in cases like I wanna be The Guy, they say "fuck waiting" and they come to you with the intent on giving themselves a paint job in your blood.

I find that hard to believe...how the fuck did you beat Lost Levels and not the original?

Anyway, as stupid as it may sound, I guess mine would have to be the final boss of Dante's Inferno (Satan himself obviously). It took me a long, long time to beat that one, almost three hours if I remember correctly.
