PC gamer.
Why? Why not to be honest;
1. More convenient. My PC boots very fast, and loads games and levels in games far faster than any console could hope to. This gives me more time to actually play the games. Additionally, it does not require me to use the family TV that the rest of my family are always using, whilst a console does [Or for me to buy a new TV and an extension to my room for somewhere to put it]. Being able to just walk into my room, press 1 button and have my entire library of games at my fingertips within seconds is great, and has no real restrictions ATM.
2. Better control scheme. KB+M are superior to a console controller. No arguments. Of course some people find console controllers easier to use. I've been typing since I was 2 years old, and have gotten damn good at it, so the KB+M combo is obviously my controller of choice, as well as being the best general controller for games [You can argue that a flight stick is better for flight sims and such, but the KB+M is consistently good and often the best controller for a given game type].
3. Better experience. Better graphics, mods, faster framerates that are more stable, faster loading times, better controls [Unless shitty port], widest selection of games and game genres - there's not a lot the PC isn't good for. Additionally customisable to how I want it to be via the use of programs like Rainmeter - I don't have to use the default for my Desktop if I feel its shitty, I can replace it with whatever I want.
4. Better cost efficiency. When the PS3 launched for $1000, I was given the option of a PS3, or a new PC. You can guess which one I chose. It'll be the same when the PS4 and such is released as well I'd guess. Spend $400 on a new console [Assuming they're intelligent this time], or get a new graphics card. Again, a fairly obvious choice.

There's more of an attachment to the machine. I look at my computer and I know "I built that". I compared parts, prices, and ultimately put everything together. With my 360 I just plugged it in and said "Ok done" I think there is more of a connection with the hobby when you get that involved with it - and that goes for anything: Cars, Radios, Hunting, Art. When you put that kind of effort into something you get a stronger connection with it.
Completely true. It also comes with the added benefit of generally knowing what's gone wrong when something does go wrong, and being able to fix it, apart from being incredibly fun.
But yeah, main reasons for playing on the PC: It gives a better experience, and suits my needs better for convenience.

That being said I prefer PC because its my hobby - not just the gaming but PC's in general. I do a bunch of modding, modeling, graphics work, I make crappy little games with gamemaker and even write game design documents for fun. I'm probably a geek even by geek standards lol.
Nope, I'm sure we all do that. At least I do, though I'm terrible at modelling and texture work. I tend to stick to the more technical aspects of modding and game making/designing.
