What are your gaming quirks? Games you love that everyone else despises, or something you like to do while gaming that nobody else does.

Mine is that I bought Unreal Tournament 3 to play with bots, and do not play it online.

My quirk would probably be that, when I play an FPS on a console, I have to be sitting in a chair leaning forward with my elbows on my knees. Otherwise, I feel like I can't control my character as well and thus play poorly.

I almost always play RTS games on skirmish if I cant play against people I know on a LAN. I don't why, I just don't like playing an RTS against randoms.

I also have to move the sofa right up in front of our 40" TV. I just can't get immersed if i'm sitting too far back, I have to have the screen right in front of me so its all I can see.

i have to have a head-on view of the screen, i can't play properly otherwise. Also, playing two player splitscreen, i prefer the bottom half of the screen.

i also go deaf when i'm playing. can't hear a thing. my roommate once recorded a conversation he had with me while i was playing bad company. i spoke no words, nor was i aware of him filming, even though he asked me directly if it was ok.

i have always had a thing whem i am playong that if i am attacking a base or some such )in either a FPS or RTS) i need to plan things out first, even if it is a game like wolfenstein, with its crazily straight forward linear story, i still need to plan out my attack.

I talk to my games. When I'm playing as a certain character, or faction, I speak in the correct voice and say character specific things without realizing it. I also yell at enemies and such. It would be a strange thing to watch me playing a game through a hidden camera.

Have to sit perfectly straight playing fighting games. If I'm lounging too much I get my arse kicked

First person view. If it is in there I have to use it. Racing shooting anything I have to be first person.

I (guess almost) never swear in games. I try to be as kind as I possibly can, much to the annoyance of some ignorant racists out there. Also I often don't think of my own safety or survival when other's are at stake. Despite endangering overall victory.

I like to do stupid stuff on fps's when i get bored like step in front of a sniper and say "what are you looking at or marco polo or something stupid like that.

On the subject of OCD, I do tend to get very compulsive while gaming. For instance, in an FPS, I almost never reload in the middle of a clip, because I simply can't have an odd number of spare rounds; the number of spare rounds has to be divisible by the number of rounds the gun holds. For instance, if my gun holds 20 rounds, I can have 80 spare rounds, but not 81.
