I'm still digging on Minecraft... literally, I suppose. But when I want to immerse myself , my go to game is S.T.A.L.K.E.R - Call of Pripyat, or Shadow of Chernobyl.

I used to say that I'd love to play Half Life 2, but be able to explore all of the rest of the world beyond the relatively small sandboxes. Then I played S.T.A.L.K.E.R, And I stopped saying that.

Can't go wrong with Super Smash Bros. Melee. Works for a quick session of a few fights against the AI, or a few hours of (more or less) intensive 1 on 1 dueling.

I still hate what they did to my Luigi in Brawl. My poor Luigi ;-;

Also, Megaman 2.

TF2, I have about 2500 hours in the game now and I still love it, though nothing can match the love I once had for Sven co-op back when it was in a working condition and had players in it :(

The Halo series used to be my go-to games, with forge, custom games, and machinima, but since Halo 4 It lost its luster.

Like you, OP, I too lack a go-to game at the moment, though if I had a better computer I'd go play Garry's Mod a good ton.

Right now TF 2 and Dynasty Warriors 7 when I'm not playing Fire Emblem Awakening. Hell even Fire Emblem is kinda my go to game. Before those it was Dead Rising 2. I should replay that again when I have less school work.

Puzzles and Dragons. lol

That, and King of Fighters.
Now I even play it on my phone.
I think beating people up help release real life stress.

Even though I've done literally everything in the game I still come back to Bayonetta for some reason. It made me understand why people like Dark Souls so much.

I've got like 5 other new games that I still have to start playing but everytime I turn on my 360 I end up putting Bayo on.

I tend to change these out every few months or so, but usually its Minecraft, New Vegas, Civ IV, or Gratuitous Space Battles.

Final Fantasy [1].

When I don't have a game in mind to play, I go back to the childhood days of 4 characters, 4 letters, 4 orbs, and GARLAND knocking you all down.

Well there is always minecraft, which was my go-to game from the moment I obtained it. Recently, however, it has been World of Tanks. Mostly because I REALLY FRICKING LOVE THE GAME even though NONE of my friends play it and will usually just ignore my recommendations to do so, so it gets kind of lonely when I'm sitting there, farming XP in my M5 Stuart to upgrade to a Chaffee. I even tried getting one to join me during this past weekend's anniversary event but she skipped out even after she said she would! Oh well, back to grinding.
Dirty american tanks! Play a real light tank line, t-50-2 is absolutely insane and literally uncatchable by any other tank.

I suck too much to play lights seriously though, so I mostly stick to heavies/TDs. I was into arties when I started, because they were easy and I was awful, but I've grown very tired of them lately, both playing and playing against.

Anyway good to see other WoT players on these forums :p
Damn Ruskies will never learn... If you can't penetrate you can't have any fun!

I kinda suck in most areas but I can generally win in a 1v1 duel against most any tank as long as I'm in my light. That is why I'm going for a Chaffee, it seems to be a damned fine dueling tank.

Also, I have to wonder how many people in the Escapist's community play WoT. If we had enough we could probably get a nice little clan together...

Mine is Dota 2 when I am feeling competetive or Monster Hunter when I feel like fighting big monsters and grinding for armor.

Pretty much any Pokemon title. When I feel like just playing a relaxing game that I just find fun, I'll play some Pokemon. Maybe I'll start a new file, maybe I won't.

I rarely have to resort to a go to game, but the games I end up replaying no matter what is Morrowind, Oblivion, and Skyrim. Eventually I end up playing through each game, maybe once a year as long as long as nothing good is out or I'm sick of playing the games I have.

Usually a fighting game of some sort, mostly Aksys/Arc ones but I jump around. Although when I feel like playing a game for multiple hours, then it's time to pull out the huge list of rpgs I need to complete from my backlog.

It used to be Morrowind, but now it's gotta be Command & Conquer Generals. I was looking forward to C&C Generals 2, but I'm not so sure about the online only stuff.

The rexxar bonus campaign in Warcraft 3 Frozen Throne. It's like a precursor to WoW. Semi RPG'ish and so fun to play. Or I'll grab a bottle of bourbon and murder things in Killing Floor. I especially love body blocking people into Fleshpounds haha.....
