There are a number of services already doing this. Several people I know get it through their cell phones -- maps, traffic info, the works. I'm pretty sure my TomTom can link with a traffic advisory service, although I've never bothered.ADeskofRichMahogany said:But in all seriousness, I thought of trying to make a information network for US interstate transportation. The idea was cars would have like a built in monitor displaying speed limits, upcoming exits, special conditions, etc. Basically like a GPS, all connected to this network. Stations responsible for over-seeing traffic conditions on certain segments of the interstate could update information for their segments when circumstances occur, allowing for quick up-to-date information. For example, heavy rainstorms on I-XY has caused a traffic jam between miles QWER and miles ASDF; estimated delay 30 minutes.
I had that idea once, how did you steal it from my mind?Drakmeire said:I want to create a self-cooling pillow because I hate having a warm pillow when I go to sleep and I also hate having to turn it over all the time to keep it cold.
