We were playing Halo 3 on high ground and kicking ass. Me and my friend decided to just screw around and try to kill people driving a mongoose around (ATV). I got into the drivers seat, he hopped on the back with a shotgun. I drive us out of the base at full speed and notice an enemy standing at the exit of the base, but just as i was going by i hit... something, and it sent me into a barrel roll flying through the air. At the top of the roll my friend killed the guy with a single shotgun balst. Watch the video in Projekt MJOLNIR's file share if you can.

Five star on every song on GH1 GH2 and GH rock and 80's, and 3 to go on GH3...I'll get there.

99999HP, all stats at 255, and beating Penance on FFX.

All golds on GT4 Prologue (the last track took me over 8 hours, even though it was only a 1 minute lap!)

Beating all staff ghosts on Mario Kart Double Dash

Getting all Tycoon ratings on Rollercoaster Tycoon 3.

100% completion (or whatever you call it, it's been a while!) on GT3

Finishing Black on PS2 on hardest difficulty (Black ops?)

Winning a 1000 kill match on Timesplitters future perfect, with pistols, one hit kill, against two friends and all opponents on maximum difficulty rating...only took about four hours!

Also, on UT2: The Liandri Conflict, an enemy CPU shot the saw blade at me. I pulled out my melee weapon and deflected it, getting a head shot. As that was the first kill of the match, I got the First Blood, Headshot, and Rejected awards at the same time.

only one i can think of offhand and that is once, when i would take myself round to a mates house to play Quake 3 LANs. I didn't own a PC so was heavily outgunned by all my friends who did- but I had fun and they usually went reasonably easy on me.
Once I picked up the railgun and muttered something like 'Bloody railgun- I don't have a clue how to use it at all..." and my friend replied "You just aim where you think they are going to go a half-second from now... and fire". And I was like: "Oh, you mean like this: BLAM!" Headshot "And this BLAM!" Headshot "and this BLAM!" headshot. One of my mates looks at mo (who offered the advice) and says "You've just created a monster".

Shortly thereafter I regressed to having my ass routinely handed to me, but those first few frags were sheer unadulterated glory.

oof, greatest gaming glory, being an overexcitable nerd i've got loads (not as good as many of the above but bear with me), a couple that stand out are;
me and my dad completing the atomsmasher level in timesplitters 2 on hard (try it, it's a ballbuster)
WoW in capture the flag when i was a lvl 34 shammy and i captured the flag all 3 times
rainbow 6 capture the bag 5v5 (i think), my friend's clan SAU were serving us terrifying amounts of whupass and all my teammates quit, but i didn't, and through incredible luck became the best player of the match (i'd just started and SAU had been playing for ages) i almost won the match and my friend told me that they'd decided not to shoot me in the last 10 seconds because they were so impressed and wanted to see if i'd reach the base
the entire CoD4 campaign (i think that you'll agree with me when i liken it to playing through an action movie which gives you eyedrops of liquid awesome)
and when someone suggests that i do something in real life, like play football instead of playing games, i ask them how long it took for people to think of sport as more than a game (sport is now the 2nd largest global business or something)

One of my greatest moments in gaming has to be back in the Half-Life (yes the first one) days... I was getting way too overpowered with the shotgun/longjump combination and i would pretty much never die, longjumping around the map Crossfire picking up health and HEV whenever i needed it and shooting the guys that came in my way with the alt-fire (double shot)...

Anyways i had just spawned in and i was down at the place with the longjump thingy and that vacuum-cleaner-looking-deathray-of-doom-across-the-map-favourite-newb-weapon-of-all-time... So i pick up the longjump thingy and proceed out the door, leaving the stupid vacuum cleaner behind as i considered it rather homo-erotic, and i begin my quest to get a shotgun...

Right as i get out the door though a guy from across the map, in a window on the 2nd floor, starts spraying his vacuum cleaner deathray at me... Luckily he's not that great of a shot and i evade his beam of death by longjumping around like a madman, i get out of his sights...

A few seconds later i picked up a shotgun and proceeded to the place where this guy was surprisingly still standing looking out the window waiting for someone to show up...

So i walk up behind him and i just stand there, after a while he asks me "Dude, where are you?" and i'm like "Look behind you!"... He turns around and gets shot right in the face with my shotgun which sends him flying backwards through the window he was staring out of a second earlier...

It was so hilarious... Especially because a few people was watching us play and they just sat there and tried to hide their laughter when i was standing behind this guy, when he finally asked me where i was everybody just cracked up...

i used to play ultima a lot and its nice when people remember me for being good at the game and not being a complete arse like most of the people u run into on the game

any way 2 of the things that prolly helped me be recognised are the animations i did
http://www.defianceuo.com/entertainment/ed.html was a animation about my charcter called Ed and is my latest animation (quite old now tho)

http://www.defianceuo.com/entertainment/trashtalkers.html was an animation to promote my charcter baldric and my bros quassymoto as well as to show that abuse really isnt needed in the game as back then so much rasism and other abuse was being thrown arround. i like to think the animation and my forums posts at the time as well as my example of play helped this but unfortunatly its creeping back in which is really quite sad

Time for a chunk of obviousness: Mine is still, to this day, defeating Ruby Weapon without Knights Of The Round. I wasn't a challenge gamer, I was just inexperienced and naive. The big red jerk fading into pixels and the accompanying whoosh was one of the most satisfying moments of my digital life.

1987, Sid Meier's Pirates! owns my life. I ravaged the Spanish Main for years, lee and aft. But for some reason, I could hardly ever retire as anything more than a Pauper.

2004, Sid Meier's Pirates! remake owns my life. I ravage the Spanish Main for years, lee and aft. The first time I divide the plunder, I finish top bill as a town gov'nuh.

(I guess that's my greatest victory and disappointment, all in one fell swoop.)

Also, shooting down a chopper with an RPG in CoD4.

Seriously, how are you supposed to aim those things?

Also, TheCrimsonPunisher, you need to learn better grammar.

TF2, Dustbowl valley, 2007.

It was the second part of the map, and i was on the BLU tema, the atackers.
It was a great match that one, 12 players on each team.
If was a scout, 3th highest score, and just taken our first control point.
We thought we could take them, so we rushed for their control point, but they were prepared.
Sentries, killed half my team, me and the rest were taken by their pyros, from behind.
We pushed all we could but we didn't get forward, and the clock was ticking away.
Theres was 1 minute away, and we got desperate.
Our top player assembled a team of 5, the five best, and i was amongst them.
We rushed forward, taking them down one by one, lossing only our demoman and medic.
Our top player sacraficed himself, to take out the sentries, with his mighty rocket launcher.
Our other soldier ran for the platform, clock ticking away, and me blasting the enemies.
He stood there winning for us, when disaster stroke in the last second, and a hidden sniper took his head.
I took my bat and avenged his death, but time was gone, and we had lost the match.
When i was begining to flee i heard a voice, an engouraging voice, and it said, "overtime".
I looked around no one was here, i was alone, and i knew what to do.
I rushed forard , when i saw one coming, an enemy, a treat, a heavy.
He readied his barrel, and began to run, pistol in hand, shotting at his face.
Bullets flew all around me, a few of them hit, but not enough to kill me.
I fired myself shot after shot, then in the middle of his laugh, he screamed and felt to the ground.
I said "Hell yeah, and ran to the platform, securing our win, already thinking about the next stage of dustbowl.
Then i heard a KABOOM, followed by a drunken laughter, as fate would have it, i didn't see the sticky bombs.

My Epic poem from TF2.
I call it "A Dustbowl Drama"

wow quality stuff

My greatest gaming glory would have to be in halo 3 when oi played at my freinds place. I hate to try so I was dicking around pissing off my own team shotting them a little and telling them to convert to christianity cause that gets the most yelling out of them when my freind yelled at me to try. So for no apparent reason I exclaimed "The time to strike is now the weakpoint is clear" Then hurled a plasma grenade into the distance then 2 seconds later a warthog came over the hill exploded and I got a triple kill. Lol my freind still thinks i did it on purpose.

Releasing 99 red balloons in Kingdom of Loathing.

If you're unfamiliar with the game, it's a daily tick-based humorous take on (MMO) fantasy roleplaying games. It has various achievements in the game you can work towards to keep the game interesting - as well as frequently added content, pop culture references, and jokes everywhere.

A red balloon costs 100,000 meat - the game's currency. An adventure will net you between 0 and 500 meat. There is a special trophy you can get when you release 99 of them into the air. I spent roughly 6-7 months unlocking the red balloons (you must complete the game a certain number of times) and earning enough meat.

And then I threw it all away on some balloons.

I spent way too much time playing Counter Strike and Team Fortress my freshman year in college. I would hardly sleep. I drank to much and the carpal tunnel sucked, but i keep on playing. My favorite game was Team Fortress. I would sniping any where and anyone. I was deadly.
All this waste of time was all worth it... My roommate, one night, played on my computer one night while I was out. He was playing team fortress, dunno what map, but during one game, two people came into the game but quickly left the game cussing a storm once they saw that I was playing.
I was filled with pride when I heard him tell me this story.
