The endless setlist in Rockband. That was one epic day
Ha! I remember doing that. By about two am, we were so tired and drunk we had to pause it til the next morning. So much hand cramping!

L4D2. Heavy Rain. Sneak past all the Witches. We had one- ONE- AI in the party and I only just managed to ding the achievement. AI spazzed, the last Witch was startled, and my fiance's chances at getting the achievement was screwed.

Ironic part? I'm scared to death of thunderstorms, so we had to keep stopping when the worst parts of the storm hit so I could have panic attacks. Yes, I'm a giant fricking pansy, I know.

Halo ODST Vidmaster Endure. Never again. That achievement almost ruined firefight for me...I couldn't play it again for weeks.

Devil May Cry 4 on Son of Sparda difficulty. That battle with Dante was the worst. I only got through it because I trapped him in an infinite combo with the devil bringer with Devil Trigger active.

Don't even get me started on Dante must Die difficulty (Gah, I'm stuck on like the 9th level, and now I'm out of practice. No way man.)
You think that's bad, try Hell or Hell... a single hit kills you while all the enemies retain their life bars. I think it's still on Son of Sparda difficulty, but my god...

DMC4 in general is psychotic in difficulty for achievements.

Oh, and No Mercy is the only L4D1 campaign i could on Expert, alone. By myself. Never again.

Attaining all the veteran achievements on Modern Warfare 2. On that difficulty it turned a 5 hour game into a 10 hour one. Trying to complete the last part of contingency in only a minute and a half was the worst.
Campaign On Veteran. The Rage was epic.

I can't try Hell or Hell because I can't beat the game on Dante Must Die! >.<

The worst part is that I've got an online buddy who is like the Grandmaster of DMC4. He often contacts me to brag about how he Triple S ranked the whole game on Dante Must Die or some crazy crap like that.

Well it's an "accomplishment" I am working on that I will never, never, never, NEVER do again.

I am my desired prestige (4th) in Modern Warfare 2 and I am working towards getting every attachment for all the guns. I don't plan on prestiging again, and if I do I most certainly won't do that again.

Seven Days of Hell on Zombie Apocalypse, the XBLA downloadable game. Ten hours of constant cheap deaths. I was drinking at the time too, just to make the experience tolerable. I had to take a break halfway through to throw up.

Finishing Mass Effect 2 on Insane. SO..MUCH...FURY...

A Dish Best Served Cold in GoW1. Words can't express the rage that almost destroyed my house. Or at least my controller.

Guardin' Gnome in L4D2. Worst thing ever. Oh, and I did it with all bots, so I think I shoulda got more Gamerscore for this one. Like 200.

"Last Man Standing" In Splinter Cell: Conviction.
Me and my mate tried it for days, until we left it for a day or two. Then we came back to it and completely Pwned first try. And when I say completely Pwned I mean COMPLETELY PWNED.

Almost all of our kills were headshots first try, or stealth melee attacks. The enemy didn't know what hit 'em.

I actually liked One Free Bullet.
The one achievement I don't really want to even try is completing ME2 on Insanity. It's the only achievement I haven't got yet, but I really want to see the 1000/1000 on the screen, but then again, I don't really want to deal with Harbinger on the hardest difficulty.

EDIT: dangit, ninja'd.

That was the best part about that game. Did it the first playthough on hard, only fired a single bullet (sniper shot, required to take out a vehicle engine) the whole game. It was tough, but certainly not impossible.
Wait... so that shot doesn't count against you? Dangit! I've been prolonging an attempt at this because I've been trying to figure out how to beat the game without doing that. I need to get my copy back from my friend!

The "Manifest Destiny" achievement in RDR.

Those poor buffalo :(

In my next game I didn't kill them, just played herd the buffalo for a while.
